2 Ch. 2 First day with a system

After waiting for a few minutes and rubbing my eyes a couple of times I finally accepted that I wasn't hallucinating and pressed yes.

Immediately I did so and 6 new tabs appeared that reminded me of the tabs from Master duel.

"That sounds interesting," I said remembering the stories and myths my Grandfather would tell me and I felt a pit in my stomach.

Opening said tab I was disappointed to see I could only make 3 decks but there wasn't a limitation on how many structure decks I could have.
[Shop is where you can buy trade and sell for packs and other items by spending the system currency]
Opening the shop tab and I couldn't help but see the resemblance with Master Duel even the systems' currency was the same but unlike the game, there were a lot of different items to buy and there was a sell option.

opening the tab I saw I had a few missions labeled [daily] already finished

Pressing the claim all button the mission disappeared and I saw in the top right-hand corner the 100 gems appeared.
[The Options tab is where you can customize the system on notifications if you wish a Hud or even background music]
Looking over said options I decided to leave everything the way it was though I pondered on if I wanted background music in and decided to leave it off.

Looking over I was stuck between Blue Eyes and Utopia both were powerful decks but Power of the Dragon had more useable cards in it all around so.

A second later I felt a weight on my arm and looked down at the unmistakable shape of a classic duel disk from the original series inside the card holster was a stack of brown cards with a black vortex.
Holding in my excitement I freshened up in the bathroom before walking back into the main room unfolded the table and set down my cards and duel disk.
After going over the deck multiple times I frowned at the cards in my hand for one most of them sucked ass meaning I was going to have to use the system shop far sooner than I thought I would.
Opening the [shop] and opening the packs' tab where three sup tabs were shown.

"This is almost identical to Master Duel," I said wondering if Limbo just made the system from his memories.
Opening the normal packs I saw that there were only two packs to choose from [Master pack] and [Legacy pack].

Like in Master Duel the [Master pack] was just a roll of the dice when you open packs but the [Legacy pack] was if you wanted to get cards from the archetypes of the anime characters.
"Danm I was hoping the prices wouldn't be the same," I whined opening the tab I frowned at the price of 1,000 gems for 10 packs.
I had 6,100 gems I could buy 6 packs worth meaning in total I could get 480 new cards if I don't get copies.
And I kind of wanted to save for the Duel Runner since I had no vehicle if my memory is right the original Shawn Valon left home by hitchhiking, bus stops, and walking for miles for weeks now.
"I need to figure out what I'm going to do now," I said looking around the room my new system has taken most of my thoughts away from the new life I was living.
I was a runaway teen living off a few hundred dollars I had saved from doing odd jobs when I lived with my uncle.
Putting my life problems aside for now I bought the 10 packs and unlocked 3, secret packs, and got a few good cards.

After 3 getting three more packs from Might of Blue-Eyes I finally built a half-decent Blue-Eyes deck leaving me with 2,100 gems.
Once that was done I tried to think about what the original Shawn Valon was going to do and found he planned on going to his grandfather's estate a stay there until he come up with a better plan.
Checking myself for a phone I saw that if I left now I would arrive at the estate by sundown and immediately a popup appeared.

Looking at the pop up I heard a growl and noticed how hungry I was so I turned on the room's tv and made myself some breakfast before I would leave.
Looking through the small fridge I found the bare bones of what could be called a breakfast and got to work making my plate.
After a bit, I had a plate of butter toast with an apple and a bowl of cereal and watched the morning news only to have the spoon drop from my hand as I finally paid attention to what was being discussed.
~"Tony Stark better known as Ironman has announced that the lower levels of Avengers tower will be open to the public for tours in other news Reed Richards aka me fantastic of the fantastic four has announced..."~
"I'm sorry what did I just hear?" I asked the room hoping for an answer only to be met with silence.
(45 minutes later)
"I'm in the marvel universe," I said for the hundredth time holding my head in my hands and wondering how fucked I was.
The marvel universe might sound fun to most people to be reborn into but if you read as many comic books as me and my friends did then you know it's the exact opposite of fun.
"And I just got reborn into it with a fucking system that lets me play a card game," I said thinking about my position and couldn't stop thinking how fucked I am.
But after calming down I decided it was time to leave so I could complete my mission and going for a long walk might calm me down.
Walking out and to the front desk I returned the key and left only getting a grunt of acknowledgment from the man behind the desk as I dropped the keys.
Walking down the road I continue to research to see if I could discern what universe I was in.
Well, it's not the MCU I thought watching a march of anti-mutant protests and after checking my memories I didn't remember an alien invasion of New York.
"But the Avengers are already formed I need to check who the roaster is," I said diving back into Google and Wikipedia.
After a bit of research, this universe's Avengers were Ironman, Warmachine, Captain American, Thor, Hawkeye, Falcon, Antman, and Wasp.
"The hell is this line up who are these Avengers," I said and after doing some digging I found out what brought this team together.
About two years ago Hydra unleashed a massive attack on the United States and S.H.E.I.L.D. leading two Ironman and Warmachine attempts to help the Helicarrier and which was falling from the air on fire.
Antman and the Wasp were in Washington dc at an event when Hydra put the White House under siege and went to help with the Fantastic Four.
Thor arrived to help the Helicarrier not crash into the Statue of Liberty and land in the water and helped the armored heroes with a confused and newly unfrozen Captain American and an injured Hawkeye.
Only to find out that S.H.E.I.L.D Hq had been taken over and The White House was close to falling so they split up Ironman, Captain American, and Hawkeye we're going to S.H.E.I.L.D Hq and the rest going to the White House.
After a lot and finding out that Baron Zemo was leading Hydra and after everything had been destroyed S.H.E.I.L.D Hq had gone back into hiding and released all S.H.E.I.L.D and a lot of government files to the public.
Afterward, S.H.E.I.L.D was disbanded and all agents left were arrested went into hiding, or joined Hydra then the heroes who helped clean up were rewarded and announced themselves as the Avengers.
But during the assault on S.H.E.I.L.D Black Widow was revealed to be a traitor and agent of Hydra and Nick Fury is Mia presumed Dead and is considered a Traitor because of the shitshow that happened under his watch.
"So aliens are still an unknown and so is magic and I don't have the slightest clue where the infinity stones are or if their stones at all," I said as an 18-wheeler drove past me.
The Hulk is still an outlaw and is being chased by the U.S. military even though the events of The incredible hulk still happen like in the MCU.
After a few hours of pondering and research, I couldn't help but feel helpless as I walked up the gravel dirt road to the Three-floor mansion that sat at the end of it.
