=One drunk mishap after another=

"-life is sucky~ fUCK life!"

Some of his drink spilled onto me as he jerked up from his chair, as if to make a toast to the so-called 'sucky life' this man was leading.

"...Why does she hate me, what did I do wronnnnnng? Tell me handsome man. TELL ME- waaaaaaahhhhh ah!"

The drink had now fully spilled all down my suit, as he cried into my shoulder.

"... There, there..."

As I patted his head, he hugged me tighter and he continued to wail into my ear. What am I doing? How did I get into this position?

I don't even know this man.

He sniffled and drew his face from my shoulder, looking at me directly in the eye. Lines of snot and tears were visible on his face, their eyes were puffed up and swollen from crying for so long.

"Y- you're a good man... I hope the queen doesn't find you, because then your life will be sucky too,"

Uh... what?

Suddenly, a expression of shock crossed his face as he looked down at my watch.

"IS THAT THE TIME?! Oh gOd, oh nO- I must leave you handsome man!"

He declared loudly while shaking me, gaining the attention of the other people in the bar.

"..."

I could feel my face flush in embarrassment as the white haired man kissed me on my forehead then ran out the bar, bumping into a few people; spilling their drinks on the way. Earning a few shouts and curses. Until one guy stood up and looked down at him with violence burning in his eyes.

Even though, I didn't know him, I felt a strange sense responsibility for this sad, short man.

"I have nO time to deal with you- the queen has demanded my showing, you don't understand~ If I don't show up sHE'LL HAVE MY HEAD-"

It didn't take me long to reach him, and I put my hand over his mouth to muffle his shouting.

"Sorry about him, he's going through a tough break up and that's really messed him up. I'll pay for the drinks he spilled."

....

All my money's nearly gone... just like that. Invisible tears ran down my face as I put my sad looking wallet back in my pocket.

"Are you not going to go after your companion?"

The bartenders voice drew my attention back to the bar, where my comforting friend soju¹ was placed in front of me. A grin printed onto her face, as she cleaned the white-haired man's glass with a cloth.

"I don't know him,"

"For a man you do not know, you have certainly taken care of him, even spending money to keep him out of trouble." She replied easily.

"..."

Drinking the soju that I had paid for, before my wallet got emptied, my mind was filled with questions about the strange crying man. Why, did I help him? Looking down at my alcohol covered suit, I frowned. If I hadn't talked to him I wouldn't be in this situation. The only thing I could think about was the money I would have to spend taking my suit to a dry cleaner before my next job interview. Hopefully, they're not busy. I don't want to fail another one. Shit. It's in two days, will the suit be ready by then-?

"It looks like he forgot something."

"Huh?"

Glancing back up at the bartender, her grin never left her face as she stared at me, while shaking her head.

"He always does this. Hah... Hyayansaek², promised to pay for his drinks this time..." she drifted off, not taking her eyes of me for one second.

"..."

Sigh...

"How much is it?"

I turned to take my wallet out, but when I turned back she had vanished, I almost thought I saw just her grin floating in the air: after looking again there was nothing there.

"..."

Maybe I had too much to drink.

1. "Soju, a clear, slightly-sweet distilled spirit, is the most popular Korean liquor. It is known as "a friend of life" and "the common people's drink." Soju is made from grains (such as rice, barley and wheat) or starches, such as potatoes, sweet potatoes and tapioca" (do not quote me on this, this is the definition of soju on wikipedia)

2. "The two common ways to say the color white in Korean are 하얀색 (hyayansaek) and 흰색 (huinsaek). You can use them interchangeably. If you want to describe something as white, you can put those words before a noun." - 90daykorean.com
