9 Chapter 9
During lunch, Amaya looked for Harry and Ci Yulong. Since Anaya was gone, but they where nowhere to be found. She just assumed these two guys had gone off campus to the Lebanese place again. This was not ok, she sent them an angry text in the group chat for ditching her. Amara hated being left out of any food created plans.
Amara asked Zui Shi if she could join him and the boys for lunch. Over the past few weeks, Amara and Zui had become really close friends. They fought all the time when it came to any study-related subject. They would fight like siblings at this point and Zui had started calling her sister.
Zui agreed but let Amara know that the remaining 5 boys would be there too.
Amara was never bothered when she had to hang out with new people. To her, it was a nice fun event more than anything. She thrived on speaking to strangers so she assured him it would not be an issue.
They had some chicken Manchurian fried rice which was both spicy and hot. Amara had a nice time with the guys while it was mostly just Amara and Zui talking while Ti Yagami made fun of everyone and probably had 5 odd minor arguments with Amara.
After lunch, Amara found that Anaya and Ryan missing which was expected. They had a lot to talk about so probably choose to skip class. The odd part was that both Harry and Ci Yulong were also missing. They had never skipped class to date, this was very abnormal and left Amara wondering where they had disappeared to.
Later after sitting through 3 more boring classes, Amara was drained. She checked her phone and say no responses, She texted again to see if they could meet and asked them to call her once they were free.
Amara was taking the longer route to walk to the dorm since the weather was good, She decided to take a walk and burn a few calories. Suddenly she spotted 4 people on the lawn. Four people that she recognized. It was Ci Yulong sitting in the side near a tree reading something. Harry, Ryan, and Anaya having an intense conversation.
Amara walked towards them to see what was up. Once she got closer, they noticed her Anaya got a little awkward and that was a little weird. Ci ran toward her to meet her midway. Ryan & Harry just stared.
Ci explained that while Anaya had said she needed time Harry who had also been involved in the conversation had convinced Anaya to say yes. Once they reached the remaining group, Anaya held Ryan's hand and announced that she had accepted his proposal. Amara congratulated them and hugged her friend.
They asked her what she was doing so far away from her dorm alone. Amara explained that she felt like taking a walk and was really drained. It would be better for her to go back to the dorm at this time.
Look at Amara's face everyone agreed, Harry and Ci offered to walk her to the dorm which she refused. On her way back she was confused at what had happened.
It was astonishing how a third person was able to convince a girl to be someone's girlfriend rather than the couple themselves. She had always known Harry to be all involved in everyone's issues but, she had not expected this. Whatever this was going to be she hopped would work out well.
She heard her phone ping between her thoughts. An invite had been sent to the whole class, the seniors were finally throwing a welcome party for them! This was going to be interesting.
