6 Chapter 6

Almost 4 months after classes had started, a new boy joined their class. Sia Yamada had bought his way into the university. He was the son of the richest man in the Mobile Manufacturing industry of country A.

He had not qualified the entrance exam but his father had managed to buy him a seat here and Sia was actually proud of it. He came and somehow managed to become the leader of the gang of 5 boys who Amara now called the Famous Five.

They were now 6 of them so she would need to come up with a new name. :(

To Amara writing an exam was like going through a ritual, She always studied hard. Her desire to be a strong force in business and work undeniable. The Li family was the number 1 company in power generation.

Amara had known since she was a child that she would never get to lead this company. As a child, she questioned her grandfather about why they had no renewable power sources. He had only responded by dismissing her saying she was a girl and this was not to concern her.

She knew as powerful as Old master Li was he would never accept her as his heir. He instead chooses to train his brother's son to take over for him.

He always treated her with love and care but never accepted her to be a strong candidate for the future of this company. Mr. Li loved his family immensely, but earning his respect was another thing altogether. Many had to struggle to achieve it, only a few succeded.

Amara too had loved him and accepted that this is the way it would always be. She would be his favorite grandchild but never his most respected ally. When she choose to study in the same sector he did not object to her decision, He only smirked.

When Amara had started at the university she knew she had to do well. Mainly because she knew no one had expected her to. She had a point to prove and she was going to do it.

Half of the semester had passed and Amara had lost track of time hanging out with her friends. It was only a week before the midterms that she remembered how much she studying she had to do.

She made a plan to cover all 5 subjects in the week, pulling almost 18-hour study sessions in a day and barely sleeping. She managed to complete her midterms.

Coming out of the examination hall she felt confident that she had done well.

Another week later the results came out, She had done really well in 4 of the 5 subjects. But it was Zui Shi who had gotten the top mark. Even Sia Yamada who had joined the class 4 months late and was known to be ignorant of studies had scored more marks than her.

Amara was heartbroken, She was not going to be mediocre. She had to pull up her score in the programming subject.
