5 Chapter 5

A few weeks later, on a regular day, Amara dressed up in a dainty white dress and braided her hair into pigtails. The weather was starting to get too hot and humid as summer was arriving in city A.

The first half of the day was mostly boring, post-lunch break a note was being passed around the class. It was asking all of the students to meet after class near the basketball court of the university.

Amara and Anaya saw this and wondered why they were being asked there. Anaya guessed it was probably going to be one of the seniors who had asked for the class to come for an interaction.

After class, Amara and her gang of three were one of the first to arrive at the location. There was no one in sight a few mins later Li Ling and Ti Yagami arrived with a crate of Coco cola and a cake.

Ci Yulong who also stayed in the same apartment complex as the other boys. After being pestered by the girls Ci went ahead and asked the boys what was up.

Ci had found out that it was Zui Shi's birthday and all of them were asked to be here to celebrate it together as a class. Amara thought it was a cool idea if it was great and maybe going forward we would celebrate all class birthdays in the same way. Meanwhile, 20 other boys had turned up.

Zui Shi and Jiang Cheng were sitting at the corner of the gallery. After there were about 45 people in the court they guys decided to start the celebrations. There was a cake cut, we sang the happy birthday song that we had been singing since probably school. Later each one present was handed a bottle of coke.

All the boys had somehow ended up on one side of the court while the three girls who had turned up ended up in another. Soon after the cake cut was complete. Jiang Cheng hugged Zui Shi went back to his corner and sat down. Conversations were starting to flow around when Ti Yagami walked into the court with a mega bottle of coca-cola.

As he got closer he fizzed it out and opened it when he was close enough to drench all the boys. Soon it had converted into a food fight. Most of the boys were drenched and the stock of coke was close to complete.

Amara screamed, isn't it the birthday boy who should be drenched right now. All the boys pause and turn to look at her. Ti is the first one to announce you too have a bottle in your hand, don't you?

Amara was impulsive and did anything that came to her mind. This was something she had kept hidden from her classmates over the past few months. But, when Ti spoke she did not think she just walked to Zui Shi and emptied her bottle on his head and walked back to the girls.

Everybody was shocked and Amara had just realized what she had done. A few moments later Zui Shi left seriously and everyone started mumbling.

Only he emerged only a minute later from behind her a new drink in hand. Amara knew where this was going. It was now going to be a full-on food fight. She ran and Zui was able to get a few splashes of the drink on her nothing he had not managed to drench her.

She kept running and so was the whole class everyone had now gone back to the fight. A moment later, suddenly she noticed she had bumped into a person. Turning she saw it was Jiang Cheng ignoring him she looked back at who was following her, Zui was about to throw his coca-cola on her

she ducked.

She had managed to escape but Jiang ended up being collateral damage. He just silently walked away while Amara tried to apologize.

A little later, the drinks were over and everyone went back to their homes and dorms.

Amara was extremely happy today. Today was an amazing day, she felt closer to her classmates than ever before and was starting to feel more at home.
