19 Chapter 19

Yang Feng calls his assistant that night to get information on Amara Li. He knew that his behavior that day was not normal. While he did not understand why he did so, It was true that it all had come to him naturally. When he saw that Amara was about to dance with another man he did not like it. He felt like stepping in was necessary.

This woman was not the most beautiful one he knew but there was something about her. The things she made him do were not something he ever felt the need to do for any other woman yet. As he stood looking at the ocean from his bedroom window, he slid his hand into his trouser pocket. He feels something prick his finger when he pulled it out it was a regular bobby pin. It was Amara's pin that she had casually handed him while going into the trial room.

Yang Feng always pursued what he wanted with a strength that was more than any other man's. It had been why he had taken over his family business at such a young age, why he had managed to become the most powerful man in the city. So when he decided to pursue a woman for the first time he was going to do better.

Two days later he called up Zui to ask for Amara's number. Zui gave him the number and asked " Why do you need it, Feng? Is something going on ?" the way he ended the question was intended to tease Feng and it had worked. Feng responds in a much harsher tone than before " That silly woman left something in the car I wanted to return it.".

Zui feels a chill go down his spine but still asks his friend what Amara had left there. Yang Feng coughs out the answer " A hairpin". Zui struggling to control his laughter says " You want to return a hairpin?". Feng responds with a blunt " Yes.BYE," and cuts the call.

Zui tells himself he needs to let Amara know he shared her number. Then he remembers it had been over 2 days now since he had spoken to Amara she had been extremely busy with the preparations and studying that she had not spent even a few minutes free.

Meanwhile, Amara had loved how she had spent the day shopping. She liked the company of these two men and wanted to make plans again. Starting Monday morning, she becomes overwhelmed with all the preparation, so much so that she has to cut down calling her parents to twice a day. She barely had time for any tasks and spend most of her time with Anaya, Harry, and Ci. They were helping her with the preparations and decor.

Harry had been particularly helpful, he always stayed with her till the end and dropped her near her dorm. Everything and anything that she needed he would take care of. Admittedly she would constantly get irritated by his nagging and constant need for her attention. She still enjoyed and was thankful for all that he did.

It was Friday by the time things had sorted themselves out and Amara had time to look at her phone. That is when she notices that she had received a text, over 2 days ago from an Unknown number which she assumed was Yang Feng based on Zui's text.

Shit, Yang Feng was not a man used to being ignored, he was not going to like this. She then responds to his text that night but does not receive a reply.

Yang Feng, on the other hand, sees her yet but does not respond. He plans on making her wait just like she had made him.
