10 Chapter 10

Being the class representative it was on Amara and Abby, the boys representative to communicate with the seniors for the event. This meant spending a lot of interacting with them and noting and collecting RSVP from their classmates.

The theme of the event was yet to be decided. Once everyone who bought the tickets to the event would be finalized, they had to come up with a Theme and pick a location. With only 3 weeks to the event, there was serious pressure from the seniors to get things done.

Abby who was technically the representative for the 60 boys in the class was not helping much. He was not even lifting 10% of his weight, In fact, he was confused about attending it himself.

There were many occasions when Abby had not helped Amara. Even when it meant she had to carry heavy books from one building to another. He would almost always be unavailable. Where he went at that time was only a mystery.

By now though, Amara had gotten really adept at handling things by herself. The pressure from seniors that was meant to be shared was all on her and she was starting to feel it. After 1 week of continuous announcements, almost all of the students had given Amara the money. Many of them, however, had not signed the list that had to be shared.

On Friday of that week, she announced that no one was allowed to leave the class without signing. The whole class signed and left. Amara waited for all of them to complete.

Her gang which now included Ryan was waiting for her sitting in the backbenches to submit this list and get back so they can hang out. Zui and his friends were also still in the class when all the signatures were done.

Hunger had started taking over Amara so she asked her friends to wait at the canteen. She asked them to order some hot pot for her so that she can attack her food the minute she gets there. They all walked out together from the class leaving behind the 6 boys.

It was after she had split with her friends that she noticed there were still 3 signatures missing. One of Jiang and another of Li. She knew she was going to have to call the third classmate and sign for him since this had to be completed today.

She rushed back to class hoping they were still there. Once, she got there she noticed that there were only two people in the classroom Li Ling and another boy she did not recognize. She called Li and asked him to sign. He obediently did it and she made the third signature. She clearly was horrible at signing other people's names. Li Laughed looking at her drawing starts in a boy's signature.

There was only one signature left Jiang Cheng, She asked Li where he was since his signature was the only one left. Li said he stepped out to go get his car. Amara asked Li to contact him and get him here ASAP.

Meanwhile, she had already gotten 16 missed calls from her seniors which was not a good thing. Li Ling stepped out to make a call and Amara sat down to catch her breath. She answered the call and told her seniors she would be there in 30 mins or so. The meeting place was 15 mins on foot so she knew she could get there easily enough.

While she waited she noticed the stranger sitting in the back. Now that Li Ling had left it was only him and her in the empty classroom. He was a very good looking guy, he was really tall , moppy hair and had really dark eyes. He was sitting in the back aloof looking at his phone.

She had never seen him on campus before that was certain.

It did not even look like he was a student. Though he looked only a year or so older than Amara herself the way he dressed was what she found was weird. He was wearing cufflinks and was dressed in complete formal attire. A white shirt tucked in with speak black trousers.

She had been looking at him constantly wondering and he had noticed it. Amara looked away when she realized what a stupid thing she had been doing. She checked her watch and 20 mins had passed since Li left the classroom.

Amara realized that she was going to be late and this meant she would be in a lot of trouble. Not just today but on the event day.

Juniors who showed attitude were generally the target of many of the pranks and events. This was something she wanted to avoid at any cost. Her uncle had scared her immensely saying he ran away from his college due to similar pranks.

She started looking at options and considered signing herself for Jiang. Just as she took out a paper to practice she got an idea.
