Chapter 1My Awful Death and a Second Chance

Another day had just started and it was time to get up out of bed. Ikari Akatsuki was not a morning person, but he needed to get some groceries before they were sold so he got up out of bed, took a bath, got dressed, brushed his teeth and left his house. He lived by himself as he had moved out of his parents house about a year ago and didn't have a girlfriend as he thought having one was a waste of time. He didn't want to deal with the heartbreak of a relationship so he stayed away from them, living alone while watching anime and reading manga and novels was good enough for him anyways.

He was a handsome young man. Gray eyes and black hair with streaks of brown within it. He had a fair complexion and had a muscular body. He always worked out and kept healthy because one of his older relatives died from an unhealthy lifestyle so he decided from an early age that he would always practice healthy living. As he walked towards the store, he thought about his life.

Ikari: "My life is so boring, it sucks. Well I guess beggars can't be choosers."

He walked a bit more until he had arrived at the store. He bought the essentials he need like milk, eggs and bread. He bought quite a few stuff and he was ready to get back home. While walking home he saw a little girl in the road while a truck was speeding towards her. He saw all the people frozen just looking at the girl while the truck was getting closer.

Ikari: "Oh you have got to be kidding me."

He wouldn't just stand there and allow a girl who looked to be about 5 years old just to die. He dropped his bags and bolted into the road, but he realized that there was no time to grab her and move out of the way. Without hesitation, he pushed her out of the way right as the truck was about to hit her. He felt his body go flying and huge amounts of pain ran throughout his body. He made contact with the asphalt and felt his entire body go numb, he was in extreme amounts of pain but he couldn't move his body. People came rushing towards him as he laid there. These idiots just stood still while the truck was approaching the girl and now they decide to move?... This was a horrible day and the sun was just mocking him by shining extra bright so he could barely open his eyes to see.

Random male #1: "Oh my god, someone call an ambulance."

Random male #2: "The little girl is alright but we need some medical help right now."

Ikari barely looked over and saw the little girl looking at him while there was a older female holding her and crying. The older female let her go and rushed over to Ikari, kneeling at his side. She looked to be about 30 years old. She didn't say anything but by the look she was giving him, he knew she was basically telling him thank you. Soon he couldn't hear anything and he saw his vision getting darker and darker until he was in complete darkness.

Ikari wasn't stupid so he knew he had just died. He didn't really have a problem with dying, but he was hoping to live a bit older than 19 years old. Before he could even think about anything else, he found himself in a room with an older man looking at him with slight interest.

Ikari: "Let me guess, you're God and you're gonna judge me to see whether I go to heaven or hell. Am I correct?"

God: "Yes you are. You are quite smart, usually people would start questioning me."

Ikari: "Yea I'm not stupid, I know I just died so this shouldn't surprise me. So where do I end up, heaven or hell"

God: "Neither."

Ikari: "Huh?.... explain because I'm slightly confused."

God: "You just saved that young girl when everyone else watching just stood there afraid to face death for someone who they didn't know. You didn't hesitate to put yourself in danger for a young child and that made me feel happy that the human race still had some good souls among them. It made me feel proud that there were still humans that were noble enough to save an innocent child."

Ikari: "So what does that mean?"

God: "This means that I will give you a choice. You can either go to heaven or you can be reincarnated."

Ikari: "Reincarnation is an actual thing?....I thought that it only happened in novels."

God: "I am God so it is possible for me."

Ikari: "Ok I choose reincarnation, do I get to choose how I get reincarnated?"

God: "No, I will reincarnate you into another world."

Ikari: "Another world? what about my old world?"

God: "I had made a rule about not reincarnating someone into the same world in which they were born so you will be reincarnated in a completely different world."

Ikari wasn't too sure about being reincarnated into another world but it couldn't be too different from his previous world....right?

Ikari: "Sure, I'm cool with that."

God: "One more thing, I will be giving you a system to help you in your new life."

Ikari: "You mean like that one in the light novels?"

God: "Yes, I will be able to contact you through it as well. So are you ready?"

Ikari: "I'm ready."

Soon he began fade away, but it seemed as if luck wasn't on his side even in death.

God: "Oh I forgot to mention but you might not be a human in your new life."

Ikari: "Wait hold up..... what?"

Before he could get the chance to say anything, he had completely disappeared. Leaving God standing there with an amused smile on his face.

God: "His new life will be exciting to watch, I hope he can adapt to his new abilities before troubles come."

God then disappeared as well, leaving to return to heaven to rule.

Meanwhile Ikari had just woken up. He realized that he was now at the entrance of some cave at the side of a mountain where he had a view of the massive forest below.

Ikari: "Ahh, so I really was reincarnated.... wait hold on a minute. Why am I so small and why can't I stand up?"

He looked at his hands to see that instead of his smooth human hands, he now had a scaly reptilian claw. He jumped back in surprise, what the hell had happened to him? He saw a small puddle of water so he hurried over to it and saw that he now possessed a small lizard like body with two wings and a tail, red scales along his entire body and green eyes that had a thin pupil. He was now a dragon.

Ikari: "W-What is going on? T-The last thing I remember is God saying that... I might..... not be...reincarnated as a human. Oh God damn it."

Before he could even begin to think of insults, he heard a sound in his head.

[System is now active. Would the Host like to see Status?]

Ahh so this was the infamous system. I would be really helpful in this new life. he wondered if it was like the ones he read about.

Ikari: "Umm yes, show me my status."

[Host Status]

Name: Ikari Akatsuki

Hp: 1000

Mp: 1000

Strength- 10

(Skills)

Devour- Allows host to take the abilities of any race upon killing them.

Evolve- When host reaches to a certain level, system will allow host to evolve into a different type of Dragon.

Flight- This ability gives the user the ability to fly. This is granted to most dragons.

Gain- This allows host to level up much faster than normally.

Ikari: "Nice, so I'm a dragon now. Umm system can you tell me more about the world that I am currently in?"

[The Planet that host is on is called Myriadon. The World that host currently is in has three official races: Humans, Demi-humans and Dragons. These three races live separately from each other with a few exceptions. Humans and demi-humans get along quite well but sometimes there are disagreements. Dragons are exceedingly rare and they usually live high up in mountainous regions. The dragon race is said to be the pinnacle of power and strength, however the dragon race has only a few members left as most of them died in the previous war. There are about 10 dragons left in this world]

Ikari: "Wait.... you said the three official races. Does that mean that there are more races?"

[Host is correct, there are three more races. These are the Gods, demons and the Dragon Gods. They all have a separate dimension in which they live. Gods and demons are usually at war however they haven't had an official battle since the last war. Dragon Gods are dragons who have surpassed all lifeforms and ascended into Godhood, but unfortunately there is no dragon god alive. The previous Dragon gods were killed when they had a battle to find out who was stronger, resulting in both their demise.]

Ikari: "Oh, I see. They fought to see who was stronger and both ended up dying. That's kinda stupid but ok."

Ikari wanted to see go down into the jungle but the mountain was way too steep to climb down. He then remembered that he now had wings but there one problem, he didn't know how to use it. He never had wings before so using them would take a while. He focused on moving them first but they could barely move, couldn't he fly as yet.

[Host cannot fly as yet due to just being born]

Just being born?.... He then looked around and finally noticed the egg shells that were scattered around the cave. So basically he was stuck in this cave until later notice, this would be a genuine pain.

Ikari: "Might as well look what else is in this cave."

Ikari then slowly started walking deeper into the cave. As he went deeper, he started to see some light further down. He went continued walking and eventually found himself in a room filled with glowing purple gems sticking out of the earth. They actually looked really beautiful.

Ikari: "System what are those glowing gems?"

[They are called Myriagems, they are very expensive and very rare to come across. There is an abundance in this cave due to it's altitude and humans and demi humans fear that a dragon is living in the mountains, therefore it was unexplored and wasn't found.]

Ikari: "So basically it's the diamonds for this world, and it looks like I'm rich now. But unfortunately it's completely worthless because I'm pretty sure humans would run away from me if they see me."

[Host can obtain both a human and a humanoid form when host becomes strong enough]

Ikari: "Ok that's good, I want a human form. I've lived for so long with it that I kinda miss it. Umm system, do you have an inventory option."

[Yes, there is an inventory.]

He started putting the small stones in the inventory but soon met up on an issue.

Ikari: "How do I transfer these large gems into the inventory?"

[Just by physical contact, system can pull large objects into inventory]

Just as Ikari was about to start putting the large stones, he heard a loud hiss. He turned around to come face to face to the largest spider he had ever seen. It was looking at him with it's six blood red eyes filled with bloodlust as it slowly crawled on the walls of the cave.

Ikari: "Oh you have got to be joking."

Ikari knew that he would end up fighting, but not on the same day. He was having the worst luck and this would not be a fight he looked forward to but that won't stop him. His goal in this new life was to become the pinnacle of power, A Dragon God, so this overgrown arachnid wasn't gonna stop him.

I Can Copy And Evolve Talents

Across the vast convolution of worlds, divine beings rule as absolute sovereigns—each god assigned dominion over a singular realm. Skirmishes are inevitable, whether for power, amusement, or sheer pettiness. One such battle, between Nexus, the God of Trickery, and an aging, senile deity, resulted in an anomaly… A soul misplaced. Elliot, an ordinary man, was never meant for Ul’Tra-el. But fate, or perhaps a cosmic prank, had other plans. Unlike other worlds, Ul’Tra-el is an aberration—one that developed a voice. A voice that diverged from the natural order. A voice that changed everything. Its foundation cracked, leaking dimensions into one another. Rifts tore open like festering wounds, vomiting forth unspeakable horrors—monsters not meant to exist. But the world did not sit idly by. In response—perhaps an act of self-preservation—the world gifted its inhabitants power. Talents awakened, granting people extraordinary abilities. And for every rift sealed, the Voice of Ul rewarded them generously. Survival was simple: fight, grow stronger, and close the rifts… or die trying. In this ruthless, blood-soaked reality, Northern—a white-haired boy burdened by his past life—was reincarnated. But unlike the chosen heroes, he awakened as a talentless nobody. No power. No strength. No future. And when death loomed over him—when despair clawed at his soul and the cold grip of the failure threatened to take him— A Voice responded: [System Notice] [Your Soul cannot take a form.] [Searching for a Unique Pattern Ability…] [Searching…] [Search Found.] [A Unique System Ability has been detected.] [You Can Copy And Evolve Talents] ... Follow Northern through his journey as he becomes the pinnacle of this world. This a story about a white-haired boy’s rise from rubbles!! Note: This is an overpower genre but MC does not just start off like that. Even though MC can copy talents he doesn't just jump around copying talents because there's a limitation. However, his rise to strength is depicted and is an experience to enjoy. The first few hundreds would be frustrating to follow because MC is weak but that makes the experience all the more interesting when MC finally gets freaking strong and starts wiping the floor with everyones asses.

Armipotent

This is a work of fiction, any names, characters, stories or events, are fictitious! (Even the country in the story is just the author's fantasy as the author never visited those countries in the story) Armipotent is an archaic adjective meaning "strong in battle." Basically, it refers to someone who is physically tough in war. Originally, it was used to refer to the Roman god of war, Mars. ===================== Tang Shaoyang, an orphan who dropped out of the middle school to fight on the street as he found out school was useless for a penniless orphan like him. Tang Shaoyang dropped out of his school, fighting on the street, and made a name for himself. Berserker Tang from Youyouliucun. Afterward, Dragon Wing triad recruited him and everything was good for him. Even though the public deemed him as a tumor of society, Tang Shaoyang was having a decent life. Until one day, everything changed as an absurd and strange game started. "... Game starts! Stage one: Survival for The Fittest!" After the game started, zombies appeared out of nowhere. ... Ding! "You have killed 1000 zombies less than 24 hours since the game started! You gained 3 Talents!" Dong! "You may choose 3 Talents! please choose carefully!" Tang Shaoyang held his chin and mused what Talent he had to choose. "With Zombies appear everywhere, I need an infinite strength... this is one, I still need to choose 2 Talents more..." Then a lewd smile formed on his lips. "I want an infinite strength, charm and charisma to conquer women, and the last one, I want to upgrade my **** so I can please my women!" After saying this, Tang Shaoyang laughed aloud. "Hahaha, there's no way such talent exists... ehhhhh?!!!" Ding! Dong! "3 Talents are consumed! You have been granted Divine Body! Good Luck, Gamer Tang Shaoyang!" Tang Shaoyang immediately checked the detail of Divine Body. After a brief silence, he muttered unbelievably. "Such Talents really exist..."
