You Didn't Do Anything Wrong

Oh. So Drew had looked into it. 

Mila would have asked why he didn't go to the police if it wasn't completely obvious. He couldn't explain that he was only looking into this now because he had been temporarily possessed by a cat. 

"You don't remember anything from that day?" she asked hesitantly. 

Drew shook his head. "I can't remember anything from Friday night until very early Monday morning when I sort of came to and Leo was controlling my body. Let me tell you, that came as a real shock." 

"I bet."

That must have been so strange for him. Everything about this situation was. 

"I'm so sorry," Mila sighed.

"Don't be! You didn't do anything wrong. You did your best with a bizarre situation and tried to reason with him but he was a stubborn furball," Drew insisted.
