470 They Had Nothing But Time

Delia hadn't realized how much Simon was holding back. He didn't talk about the past very often. It was usually in passing at best. He preferred focusing on the present and the future they were building together. 

Listening to him tell stories about all of the people he had loved and lost and all of the things he had done broke her heart. He had lost so much to get where he was today. 

Obviously, she had too but she hadn't been aware of it most of the time. Having all of her memories back on a permanent basis had been a real adjustment but he had been an indispensable help with that because of all of his experience with it. 

She didn't know what she would do without him. He was her rock, as always. More than ever if she was being perfectly honest. 

Delia wouldn't have been able to handle everything that happened without him. He was endlessly supportive and sometimes it made her want to cry. He loved her so much!
