21 Chapter 21: On The Loose

Anna's POV: It's been almost two months since I killed Ali, I don't regret anything that I did or said to my family, they had it coming. I left right after I killed her that 'tragic' day, Katherine and Ian couldn't even be bothered to try and stop me. I guess they wanted me gone as much as I wanted to leave! Anyway, I've decided to live my life while I was away from my psycho family, I'm in Italy right now, it's beautiful here. The food is amazing, the blood is foreign, the fashion is incredible, and the hospitality of the people is amazing. They're so welcoming and kind, I compelled a little town right outside Italy that I'm staying in now, they know about my secret, but everyone promised to keep their mouths shut unless they were talking to me directly! I have to say, I have my mothers skills... speak of the devil, one of the women I ran into at my new little town said they knew of my mother, and my father! Their story is rich in this area they told me, I asked how they knew of them since we are half way across the world from where I live, from where they lived. The women's name is Bella, she's a vampire too, and she knew my mother personally, not just their story. She said that Hayley visited once before when she was in Rome, the trip when she became 'truly' immortal I suppose, and that Hayley turned Bella. But no one knew of her trip here, why not? I thought Elijah followed her wherever she went, I mean part of their story was, "Everywhere Hayley was you'd be sure to find Elijah stood beside her, the white knight that always rode on his high horse!" So why didn't anyone know about this trip, and that's what I'm going to find out...

Katherine's POV: I've been waiting for days, weeks, months, but nothing. No sign of her anywhere. She just...disappeared. No trace of where she went or what she was doing. Only her cold scent that filled her room. I tried to get everyone to help me find her but nobody would listen, everyone was so keen on keeping Anna safe, yet they won't help me find her since she's been missing for almost two months! I knew she wasn't dead, whoever would've killed her would have claimed victory on us by now, so I know that's not it, but last time something like this happened we at least had a clue is to where she was or what was going on in her crazy head. I know she thinks I'm trying to drive her away or something, but I'm not! I'm just doing as Hayley would've done for her, keeping her safe, happy, and healthy...no matter what. I don't want anything bad to happen to her, but she obviously left for a good reason, I decided to go take a little visit to the place she said she would be all summer, before Alison arrived, good old New Orleans! I'd be sure to find something there, whether it's Anna herself, that Sarah lady, or a hint. Anything will help, at this point I'm desperate...

Anna's POV: I could sense Katherine, she wasn't near me, quite the opposite actually, but she was trying to find me. I heard from one of my 'pals' that Katherine's was heading towards New Orleans, where Sarah was, I told her about where I was, I've been keeping her posted ever since I left, one simple compulsion and Katherine could be here faster than I could leave! I quickly called Sarah, she didn't answer, instead I heard...her. Katherine. She was on the other line, I asked what she did to Sarah, she said nothing but I didn't believe her, I asked again, more aggressively this time, with a slight threat. I told her if she didn't tell me that Sarah was safe that I'd go out on a killing spree, starting with every resident in Saint Falls. That got her talking, she put Sarah on the phone and hearing her voice made me feel comforted, but she didn't seem all at ease, I asked what she did... Katherine compelled Sarah! Now she knows my exact whereabouts, I noticed Katherine was back on the other line again. But I don't go down without a fight, I said she can do whatever she feels is necessary with Sarah, but if she comes after me then I will take my threat to the next level, I'll turn off my humanity. I'm a stone cold bitch now, they'd never get me back if my humanity was off, and it worked! Katherine backed down, again. And I won...

Katherine's POV: Hearing Anna talking and threatening innocent people like humans mean nothing to her is just further proof that she needs help. I'm stayed with Sarah for the next few days so she can help me get all the dark magic out of Anna, there's only a few ways to do so with a very powerful witch, such as Anna. But we'll find a way, we always do...

Anna's POV: I continued my studies on everything from the towns supernatural history knowledge all the way to the exact moment my parents story came to these people, 13 years ago. The word spread quickly after my parents death according to Bella. And then someone from the inside who knew of us, everything about us, including me, told their story to the people of Italy and surrounding areas. Many people thought they were myths, but they weren't, only true believers dug deeper into the story and found the truth. And now I know the truth too, they said that a women showed up after my parents death, nobody knew who she was, but after Bella showed me a picture she took of the women I knew exactly who it was...Clarissa. My mothers doppelgänger, she was so pleased when she heard Hayley died, but when she found out Elijah did too she was furious, so much that she spread their story in hope that someone would find us and try to kill me as a punishment I suppose. I guess that's why my childhood was so abnormal! And that 'trip' that Hayley took, it was Clarissa that turned Bella and did everything else too. That's why the women recognized me, Clarissa spilled and didn't think that I could crush her head with one look because of it. Anyway, my next mission is finding that little bitch Clarissa, and when I do I'm going to kill her...
