Time at the base

Me and Fury talked for a while and I found out he puts up a strong front but he likes to hold all his frustration in and let it out privately. He was still human after all so it was fine and I listened to his rambling.

He also told me that they had a private server that I could use for my missions. I would definitely be going there often. I wanted as much tech as possible. I didn't ask Tony because he would try to have a hand in what I make and no doubt have JARVIS sneaking around in programs and getting blue prints of my ideas.

When we finished talking, I left out to go back to my training room. I played with the guns and things, but the training equipment would help a lot. They said it could apply more weight with the bracelets so I wanted to check those out.

'It depends how high they can change though.' I thought walking down the hall leisurely. I made it to my training room and saw some hexagon shaped bracelets by the rest of the equipment.

I walked over and took off my jacket and shirt, before putting on the suppression suit. It was only the top and had sleeves that were skin tight just like the torso of the suit.

I put the bracelets on and turn the weight of the bracelets to 25 tons. The bracelets got extremely heavy and the veins in my arms and legs were popping out. My muscles tightened as I began walking and lifting at the same time.

I had one on each ankle and one on each wrist. It was difficult at first and my muscles were constantly getting ripped and repaired and they wanted to expand to get more mass and handle the weight better, but the suppression suit blocked my muscles from expanding putting me under more pain.

Human muscles try to grow and expand to be released from the pressure of pulling weight that it couldn't handle. If your muscles are being squeezed together while they try to push outward, the pressure is increased like if you pinch yourself.

It will help hurt and if you amplify it like I am it's excruciating pain that normal people wouldn't be able to take.

Normal people.

My muscles worked for hours in pain being ripped and ruptured to being put back together. After about three hours of this my body got use to the pain and I could lift the bracelets while walking with little difficulty.

I wanted to be able to lift that with no difficulty. I kept going for half an hour till I could lift it on a whim. I sat down sweaty and freezes the room. I needed to cool down and sweat has some of my DNA inside it so they could use it if they found a drop of it here.

When the room froze the temperature dropped immediately and it felt good. I let the ice shatter and the room now had a icy fog like I was in a freezer.

I stood up and stretched before getting out of the suppression suit. I would definitely use this more often and I could use it to design my suit.

'Well not really a suit more like combat outfit. This idea will absolutely not look heroic at all really. Not that I care or anything.'

While I was thinking I got thirst, so I left my room again and looked at the time. The clock said it was 2:14am which meant he's been here for a few hours.

'I should get some type of lunch while I'm here. There must be some type of cafeteria here if they have dorms for people to live in.

(In case you didn't know the shield base is like a huge military base. With buildings everywhere and people doing a lot of stuff. Just look it up.)

I left the main base without any problems and found myself outside where people are yelling, running, and pulling stuff everywhere m.

'Maybe I should have asked for directions.' I thought dryly. I then just wondered around and looked into any building and run around it till I find a cafeteria.

I was getting frustrated so I used some of my speed and just flashed into the buildings and back out. Like I said the base was huge and when the chitauri attacked it left a huge crater when it collapsed.

After about thirty minutes of me checking more than 100 buildings I stopped outside again and sighed.

'Maybe I'll never get food again. I don't even remember where the main building is.' I was walking while I was deep in thought and bumped into someone. It startled me slightly because I didn't feel any difference in the air around me.

I looked up quickly and saw Natasha looking down at me with a smile.

"I saw you looking for something while I was talking with Steve. Do you need directions?" She asked. I didn't have a reason to be a dick to her so I answered.

"Yeah I was looking for a cafeteria. Do you know where it is?" I asked. My face was plain, but I ahead hope in my voice.

"That's where I just was." She said laughing a bit at his predicament. He was running and looking around places so fast that he passed the other building.

My face darkened.

"You mean I passed it. I looked through damn near 150 buildings and I missed it." I was beyond pissed. I was so stupid. How do miss a building because you looked through them to fast.

I looked at Natasha and asked her to show me where it was and she lead me there. It didn't take us long maybe a few minutes, but nothing much.

We were sitting at a table and I was wondering why she is still with me.

"Didn't you already eat or did you want something?" She truly had no reason to be with me anymore. I'm not driving her away but I'm just curious.

"No last time I was here, I was just talking with Steve, we didn't eat." I nodded and looked at the nice burger I had.

The special people in shield get better food than the regular people and we get it free. I initially just wanted a drink, but when I smelled all the good food I got hungry.

Right now on my plate I have a Burger, some fries, and three piece honey gold wings and some sweet n sour sauce.

'No wonder shield soldiers like working at a place where you could die easily.' I thought looking at the burger slightly drooling.

I picked it up and took a big bite out of it. It tasted like heaven between Theo buns. The beef patty taste exquisite while you can still taste the mayonnaise, cheese pickles, and cooked onion.

It didn't have too much mayonnaise, and the taste of the pickles wasn't over bearing. I then took out three fries and dipped them in some sweet n sour sauce and took a bite.

They were seasoned beautifully, they didn't drench it in salt neither did they just have one grain of salt on them. They went perfectly with the sweet n sour sauce, that brought more flavor to it.

I then looked over to the honey gold wings that were begging me take a bite of them. I picked one up and bit right into it. It was astonishing. The chef back there must be clones of Gordon Ramsay.

The chicken was seasoned to perfection and the honey gold sauce didn't block out the taste at all. It helped pull the taste of the seasoned salt out and combine that with the taste of the sauce and you get perfection.

I went to take another bite out of chicken and when I did I got to eager and bit into the bone. The fact that I can cut into bone like running a blade through water didn't help neither was I focused on the sound of it cracking and just swallowed.

The bone scratched my throat on the way down my esophagus. I started coughing and looked around for my drink, but I then realized something.

'I forgot to get a damn drink.' I thought harshly. The whole point of me leaving the damn base in the first place was for something to drink and when I find something to eat I forget the drink.

STUPID!!!!

"Here!!" Yelled Natasha as she handed me her drink. I took it and immediately drank it, in gulps. I was good after her drink was gone and took a deep breath before looking towards Natasha who looked worried.

"Thank you, Natasha." I said with my second ever genuine smile in this world. She released a breath of relief and looked at her drink that was empty.

"Well since we're done eating, let's talk more." She said after sighing.
