3 Chapter 3. Messing Around With the System
As soon as Marco said that he asked the system with a voice full of curiosity at the possibilities before him.
Marco:"Hey system how do I navigate this thing?"
System:(It's not a thing it's me, and all you have to do is think of the command words to get to them such as SHOP,INVENTORY,MENU,etc.... You know the rest, and that's all you have to do.) Said the system playfully in a tone of fake hurting.
Marco:"Whatever system. You know I'm going so call you Sebastián because you sound like a butler." Said Marco
'Ding' {Hidden Quest completed: Name the system. Awards 10,000 system points and a new customizable skateboard!!!!!}
Marco:"Since when has there been a hidden quest??!!!! Does that mean I can Keep renaming you and continue to get rewards constantly?!!!" Asked Marco who felt a rush of excitement flow through him.
Sebastián:(No it doesn't and hidden quests are called hidden for a reason. They just show up if you do something. So you never know when you do one until you complete it.) Explained the system calmly as if he expected this to happen. Which he probably did.
Marco:"Oh Well dang I thought I could spam this and get a lot of free stuff. Well let's continue on with this." said Marco with a ton of disappointment.
As Marco said that he opened the inventory to find it only containing one thing. That thing was his new skateboard. The rest was empty and It looked like the square grids off of video games. There was a symbol for infinity right next to the words Amount of space available.
Sebastián:(Before you ask Marco yes they are stackable so you don't have to worry about clutter taking up the panels. Also there is a tab for instant sorting so you don't have to waste your time doing so.) Said Sebastián as he continued to explain the rest of the function to Marco.
After the inventory was explained Marco Customized the panel to have black edges and a galaxy background. It looked futuristic but neat and not too flashy.
Marco:"Ok that's done so how about we move onto the menu?" asked Marco in a satisfied tone in his voice.
Sebastián:(Alright Marco It's the same as last time so go on ahead.) said the system in a bored voice.
Marco:Here we go Menu." said Marco
In front of his face appeared another panel labeled MENU at the top. There were options with changing Sebastián's voice and Gender. Also ones for background noise and music. The music had a plus tab right next to it. Marco selected it and it showed on and off switches for battle, and peaceful background music. They were all turned off. Above them was an option to mute everything and when Marco selected it. He turned deaf before he turned it back on. The peaceful Music let him choose either adventure music or any music he knew. A cool thing was that It allowed him to connect to Spotify and choose music from there. He left that for now.
The visuals allowed it to where he can see a HUD display or turn himself blind. There was also the option for night vision which he turned on. The finale option for display was a mini map that could be toggled on or off by thinking of it. After he left that part of the menu Marco chose the tab that said OTHERS.
It showed an option for Auto looting which he quickly turned on. The other options were Scanning and X-ray vision. The scanning option was for the inventory so he could get detailed information on what was in there. X ray vision was a setting which he can toggle off and on like the HUD, But it could let him see through things be it walls, stairs, or clothes. When Marco turned X ray vision on he looked through his hands and saw his bones. Then he looked at his wall and saw his parents having sex in the shower.
Marco freaked out and blushed in embarrassment while he cringed at the view before him. Then he hurriedly turned x-ray vision off.
Marco:"I'm definitely being careful next time when using this." said Marco who felt a shiver go through his spine at the thought of his parents naked in disgust. |A/N:I mean who wants to see their parents fucking bro? I don't!|
Sebastián:(That would be wise. I believe we finished with the menu so it's best we move on) Said Sebastián who held the same tone of voice as Marco.
Marco:"Right let's do that. Now we have the Shop next to do. Shop." Said Marco
In front of him was a tab that said shop With a list of many options and a search bar. The list said Bloodlines,Weapons,Miscellaneous,andSkills. At the top right it said system points:10,000.
Sebastian:(Earlier I said I would explain system points to you. Well fundamentally system points are the currency that is used in the shop. You can earn them by doing quests, selling things to the store, or by killing.) Explained Sebastián in a calm tone.
Marco:"Huh that's neat to hear. So they can help buy cool things. Awesome well since that's over with we should explore the Gacha. Now Gacha." said Marco
A blue panel that held a roulette with seven slots appeared. The roulette looked like one of those typical gambling slots you can play on your phone. Marco customized it to look fancy with gold and white that held caramel coloring surrounding it. The numbers were black sevens outlined In midnight blue. At the bottom left it said 2 free spins.
Marco:"Well Sebastian I'm going to do it." He said with a look of anticipation on his face.
As he selected the lever to be pulled it spinned, showing various items and words on the seven slots. The first slot stopped spinning and showed a black leather jacket That said self repairing. Then the second soon followed showing a large metal tumbler that said infinite mixed drinks can only choose a different mixed drink every half hour. The third roulette stopped spinning at the same time as the second showing a dab pen that had an infinity symbol with options for different strains. The fourth then stopped showing black combat boots which was also self repairing. The fifth slot showed a coffee mug that was titled Ozpin's infinite coffee mug. The sixth slot stopped and showed an ocarina titled the ocarina of time. The seventh and finale one showed a vial titled van helsing's werewolf bloodline From the Movie Van Helsing With Hugh Jackman. With all negative effects removed and the transformation controllable.
Marco:"Holy Shit this is awesome!!! I'm speechless. Such luck it's unbelievable." Said Marco who had a look of awe and elation on his face.
Sebastián:(Your right Marco you're very lucky. The last one is such a surprise. I didn't even think..... I'm just as speechless as you are. I Think you should take the bloodline now since it takes an hour to imbue you with the bloodline. You will be knocked out to avoid the pain.) Said the system
Marco:"I think we should complete the tutorial first and then do the bloodline thing later." Said Marco
Sebastián:(Ok Marco we have the status page and the mission board left.)
Marco:"Status."
Another blue panel different to the other as it was much larger and had more information on it.
