Prologue

A young man floated in the air, his skinless arms and legs dripping with blood. Nothing was holding him in the air, it was as if invisible chains pulled his limbs in different directions. His face was missing many things, eyes, a nose, lips, and even parts of his cheek. It was a hideous and horrific sight. Everything done to him would kill a normal person, or really anyone, but with his caved-in chest stilling rising and falling, it was clear that he was still alive.

"Wake up!" A sound resembling that of thunder resounded in the empty darkness. It was commanding, and with its sound, the darkness faded and the young man began to turn back into normal. His eyes reappeared, the skin on his arms and legs grew back, his chest puffed, and all the countless, horrific wounds, began to disappear. It was a magical sight, yet somewhat eerie. With each fix, the young man groaned, he screamed.

"AHH! ARGH!!" It was shrill filled with exhaustion and pain. It wasn't normal, it wasn't a shrill coming from a human voice, it was something more frightening. It was indescribable.

"Quiet!" The thundering voice appeared once again. The young man's shrills cut off, as if the voice muted him. His mouth still moved as he tried to scream, but no sound came. "Time is up! You're side of the deal is complete, now I will grant you the reward you desired!" The voice was a mysterious, yet eerie echo. After completing it's words, a wind blew towards the young man who was fully healed.

He had short black hair, with a pale skin. He was skinny, but not malnourished. His face was decent with his honey like eyes which had a bit of sparkle within them. The young man wasn't tall, he seemed a little short, but not too short.

The wind wrapped around the young man like a cacoon. It began to float into the air, hiding the body of the young man. "Now then, you wished for to be a smart, handsome man. You wished for your learning capabilities to be unparalleled and for your looks to win the heart of countless women. Your wishes are simple, yet not normal. You never wished to be the most handsome or the smartest, just to be much better than most. You wished to be like those in the books you read, being able to control magic, but you didn't wish for it all at once. You wished to have the ability to control magic, but you wanted to learn how. All of this is what you wanted, in exchange, you allowed me to be torture you for two billion years." This time, the voice made no rumble, everything was silent. As if reading the sins of a sinner, the atmosphere seemed tense, but it was silent. "You wished for all of this and you have completed your side of the deal. Here is your reward!" Suddenly, the wind cocoon exploded and a completely new person appeared.

It was a tall man. He had muscular arms and legs, but not bulky. His hair was black like coal, and his eyes purple like poison. His face was somewhat bronze, giving him a manly, rough look.

The young man looked around and began to inspect his body. Tears began to slowly form in his eyes as he fell to his knees. "Finally, I can finally go back! I can finally make them proud, all of the torture, the pain, the agony, was for this day. I can finally make my parents happy, I can finally not be a disappointment."

"You're not a normal person. To ask for such a small reward, you would go through so much torture? I have seen many things in my life, so much that even with your new mind, it will be impossible for you to handle such an amount, but I have met only a few people like you. Each one of them were extremists for their loved ones, to the point where obsession was an understatement for their feelings." A shadow suddenly appeared beside the kneeling young man. He looked up, but he couldn't make out the face of the shadow, and when he did look in the direction of the shadow, his whole body wreathed with pain. It reminded him of the pain he went through during his two billion years. He felt a burning pain in his mind and slowly, he lost his conscious. "I despise people like you." The shadowy figure spoke once again after the man fell unconscious. The world around him began to shake, but the young man's body remained still. "You wished for many things and I have given you them all, but one thing you forgot to wish for was for you to return back to your parents. You never stated whether you wanted that, you just assumed I would send you back. I did say two billion years here will be equivalent to two years outside, but I never said you will be sent back to your family." The shadow lifted a blurry arm and the young man began to float as well. "You shall be sent to a new world, a place far from your own. People like you, the ones I dislike, should never dream for a peaceful end. Your obsession reminds of that person, it's disgusting, a curse. Get lost!"

The world warped as storms began to appear around the shadow. Holes appeared with white liquid appearing from within. Roars resounded the world, as the shadow tossed the young man into one of the puddles of white. He waved his hand and a small gem formed in his hand. He tossed towards the unconscious man and then began to walk away.

"I shall give you gift just this once. Like the others in the past who reminded me of that man, I shall give you a piece of his powers as well, it is what I owe him. I am the one who never goes breaks a promise." The gem turned into a black liquid and sunk into the young man's skin, causing his body to tremble as if having a seizure.

The hold with the white liquid closed like a gate and soon the young man disappeared and everything turned silent.
