'If the fool would persist in his folly, he would become wise.'

Hey a chapter with 12 000 will come out soon which is why I haven't been uploading.

Oh and when you do read it, hope it's good because if it isn't then that'd be a waste of 4 days of writing.

-------------------------------------------------------

"And that's what happened sir. We've called the Knights Guild to inform them as well since it's of utmost emergency." The Hunter Association Team Leader was speaking on the phone. On the other side was the Association Chairman Go Gunhee.

An incident like this was great enough to warn the chairman himself. It could potentially be a national threat. Thankfully, they hadn't given public information about this matter or else the entire country would be in panic.

"Good. We're sending groups of hunters to your location as soon as possible. The Hunters and White Tiger Guild with their Guild Leaders are coming there as well. While staying there, please inform me of anything that is happening. I'll keep the call active until then." Go Gunhee said in a serious tone.

"Of course sir." The man said on the other side.

Putting the phone down, Go Gunhee sighed while rubbing his eyes. He just couldn't get a break. His heart wasn't even beating correctly now. His death was near and now a potentially catastrophic even may happen to South Korea.

Must he die in this event. He didn't know. What he knew was that he needed to find a successor to him. A protector that would protect the Korean people. Not just the Koreans. But the entire world. The end was nearing and he would be lucky to be able to see it.

"Sir!" Hearing a yell, Go Gunhee turned to the phone and grabbed it.

"What is it? Did something happen?" He asked concerned.

On the other side, the man watched the portal in amazement. The red Gate was opening! "Yes, sir! The portal is opening!"

Gunhee stood up in shock and happiness. "It must've been only four hours. They must've took a while to track down the boss.."

This was good news for them. If they were able to clear it then that would boost their reputation even higher and the populace would have confidence in them.

"The portal has fully opened. Wait. I see someone coming out!" The team leader ran towards the Gate seeing a figure coming out. "Everyone prepare to welcome the survivors. Bring all medical equipment now."

"How many do you see?" He heard the chairman from the call.

Narrowing his eyes, all he could see was one figure walking out of the Gate. "I see... only one for now."

But that's when it started, the reveal of the figure. The person who came out of the dungeon was completely unexpected.

What the association saw was a man with white hair and a red jacket. On his hands was a brown, gold-embroidered book with a large "V" insignia in the cover. And it seemed that the man was reading the book as he was flipping the pages.

The association immediately pulled out their guns and aimed at him. This was an unknown entity. They had never let someone else enter the Gate. "Who are you?! State your identity!"

The man ignored this as he continued reading. ['I have no name; I am but two days old...']

'Wait! That was English. He looks American as well. And what the hell did he say?' The leader thought.

"This quote would of fit perfectly for me if it was it was a 7 days instead of two. What a shame William Blake. Your quotes were almost a perfect fit for me." The unknown man closed the book as he turned his attention to them.

"What's going on? Report immediately." Go Gunhee couldn't clearly hear everything from the other side.

"Sir, there's an unknown-" His phone suddenly began emitting electricity. He immediately let go of it and the phone then exploded. The leader turned around to see all of his team's communication devices have been destroyed.

"Now now, let's not get on ahead of ourselves." Dante began walking towards them as his arms were imbued with yellow electricity.

"What do you want? Why are Americans in Korean territory?" The leader spoke in English.

"Americans? Now that's insulting. You may not know it but I'm Japanese. English is my second language. And it's not like America is the only country that speaks English. But enough about that, I already got everything I can from the raid team so I don't need you guys anymore."

Lightning came out of his hands and razed the entire team to charred corpses. They were instantly killed without warning. No scream was heard from them as their entire force was wiped out in an instant.

"Hm?" Dante turned around as he narrowed his yellow glowing eyes. "What the... so many presences."

He could feel it. The presence of so many powerful beings. Each of them were strong enough to rival the power of some of the monsters he fought while inside the dungeon. There were thousands of them.

And worse, he could feel them coming here. His aura was unrestrained making the monsters notice his presence. The association was not detected since they were only normal human beings while the raid team specifically placed a non-detecting spell to cover themselves.

"Hm... there's a lot of them. Even with all of my items and skills, I don't think I'll come out unscathed."

His guns appeared in his hands as he faced the enemy "But a wise man once said this. ['He who desires but acts not, breeds pestilence.'] William Blake, you better not have scammed me."

The ants soon arrived as they flew towards his island. They had red carapaces and sharp claws capable of destroying stone with a slash. Their eyes glowed red even in day and their wings flapped at an alarming speed.

"Wings? I expected them to come from the sea while penguins or something. That would of been a sight to see." He chuckled at the thought.

Smirking, Dante stabbed his sword to the ground and raised his guns towards the army of ants coming to him. "I've got your pestilence right here you little flies."

With that, he began firing at them. Dante switched up his styles and put on Gunslinger. Each one of his shots were able to obliterate the ants without any problem. And since these guns had no need to reload in any way. Then he wouldn't have to waste time on that.

His guns also didn't use his magic so that also helped to not exhaust him. Soon the army was slowly getting wiped out but their movement became better as some of them managed to dodge the bullets while approaching.

"Guess they're better than I thought." Dante said as he continued shooting. They soon began landing on the island where Dante was.

Dante with his Red Queen shredded the ants without difficulty but soon he saw himself being overwhelmed. There was just too many of them. The ant swarm completely trampled on him as he was buried alive.

But still, Dante smiled as he was being ripped apart. "Damn. Stop ripping off Indian Jones. They'll sue you guys." Yellow sparks surrounded his body as he unleashed his full power.

With his eyes filled with electricity and a wide crazed smile. "Die."

When he said this, pure yellow bolts of electricity emerged from his body as it electrocuted all of the ants like chains. The ants were blown away from him and fell to the ground with their bodies like charcoal now.

The sky rumbled as the once beautiful day was now starting to rain wit dark clouds looming over himself. "Pokémon Types lied to me. Electricity is super effective against bug types. Well I guess they're bug, flying type. Does bug even resist lightning type? Should of played more Pokémon."

Dante said this as he got rid of the ash on his clothes. Looking up, he could still see many more ants coming this way. Electricity gathered within his fingertips as he snapped them.

Lightning fell from the sky striking at the flying ants. When the lightning fell on 1 ant, it would then move on to the next making it a chain reaction.

But even Dante couldn't do this without any pain. Sweat flowed down his face as he continued using more and more magic. Soon the sweat became blood as his exhaustion became even more apparent.

He utilized his guns but he still couldn't kill all of these ants. It was a never ending swarm.

"I think I bit off more than I can chew." Dante laughed with a weary smile.

Just then something arrived in his senses range. It was large in size and had a powerful magical capabilities. They came at him in an alarming speed and soon he could see it. Landing on the island, it was able to make it shake as all of the ants began making way for it.

"Great. Just what I needed, even bigger ants." He sarcastically said. There were three ant that were huge. Each dwarfed Dante in size. The only difference in appearance compared to normal ants were its eyes. It had no light reflecting it. Pure darkness.

Sasaki sighed but still smiled. "No point complaining here." With that said, he charged towards the ants that glared at him and opened its mouth to take a bit off of him.

It tried biting him but he saw through the attack and dodged to the side while slashing multiple times with his sword at its eyes.

The beast shrieked in pain as it reared to the back. It's movements were very fast for something its size. Dante fired a couple shots at it and damaged it. Though the damage managed to crack the shell, it wasn't strong enough to pierce it.

Against 3 of them, it would be tough but doable. But with the hoard of ants surrounding him. It would be hard to escape. "What a pain."

Dante then decided to use something new. His sword infused with his lightning making it go overdrive. The blade began being white from so much heat. He decided to do the same to his gun and fired them.

The bullets were filled with electricity as it slowly paralyzed them. When Dante was closing in to the beasts. He jumped up high in the air leaving himself open.

The ants outside seeing this took his chance and attacked him seeing their leaders injured. Dante looked at this without any change in his expression.

Dane fell from the air and dodged the blows while slashing and shooting the ants. Even with his limited strength, he was able to cut it apart with ease.

He then landed like a meteorite on the ant and cut its head like butter. One of the giant ants were dead and there were two left.

The remaining two soon recovered and rushed towards him. Turning behind, Dante shot at its skull making it slow down. With this opening, he ran and slid underneath it.

Having Red Queen in his hands, Dante cut off all of its limbs as he continued on with the next one.

He dodged one of its legs and jumped up. The sword hit the beast at its chin making it bleed and shriek in pain. Dante used its distraction and slid underneath it. Using the chainsaw option, he slowly shredded the monster into two.

Dante then backflipped and stabbed the last ant in the head. It squirmed a bit but stopped after a moment. Finishing these monster was tiring to him. His body shook a bit. Exhaustion was evident from his breathing and trembling hands.

Looking around him, he was encircled by the ants blocking his every path.

"You'd think I'd get a break after that. What a pain in the ass." Dante said sarcastically as he stretched his arms.

Just then, Dante turned his attention to another direction. He looked towards the horizon where there seemed to be nothing.

Dante narrowed his eyes seriously. "Another annoying group arrives."

{William Blake is a famous English poet. His works were used as quotes in DMC 5 by Vergil's human side called V. And he used it by reading this book as Vergil liked poetry.}

Who is it? Please tell me who it is! Stop the cliffhanger you dumb stupid author.
