1 New Arrival

In the ruins of an old town, there seemed to be nothing but a dense fog and shadows that seemed to flash from one spot to another. Suddenly a rumbling sound came from afar, getting louder and louder that made all the shadows disperse, as if afraid of something.

Moments later, a caravan of three armored trucks drove by rapidly and vanished as quickly as they came. Each truck was five meters long and covered by thick armor. They were equipped with a battling ram in the front and spiked wheels. The dusty desert camouflage was painted over with the blood of both humans and monsters. Even so, you would still be able to see the dominant and shinning logo of a red phoenix rising from the ashes. This served as a warning to those who knew what it represented.

Deep within the fog, deep red eyes were gazing at those vehicles. They had no sign of sanity; those hunger strained eyes followed in the direction of those vehicles.

Within the leading armored truck.

A burly man scratched his breaded chin as he looked over into the back corner. "So that pretty boy over there is part of the newest batch, huh?"

A muscular man with blonde hair and scar on his left cheek looked back at the burly man. "Hey, don't you go and try to scare the newbie away, Dave."

"Hmph, looking at his pretty-boy face just makes me worried that he's too delicate and will hold us back, that's all."

"Hmm? I think that you're just jealous. Well... it makes sense when you have that overgrown jungle on your face." a sharp and feminine voice retorted.

"You..."

"You what, huh? Do you want me to teach you another lesson, hmm? You're just jealous that these two beauties won't bat an eye to you. But if handsome over there wanted Linda and I wouldn't mind keeping him company, right Linda," The lady said playfully while winking to the man in the back.

Dave's face was burning red from the humiliation, but he still didn't retort, and he just hung his head down and chose to be mute as he remembered his last encounter with her. His fear towards that woman is evident.

Still from the corner of his eyes, he looked towards the back corner indignantly. And looking at the devilishly handsome man's face, he saw a slight curl of his lips that would make any girls heart-throb, but it just made him angrier and envious.

"Let's see if your pretty face doesn't get ruined during our operation!" he schemed inwardly.

The woman that retorted Dave was a mature beauty appearing in her early-thirties. She had long black hair and eyes alongside her seductive red lips that can draw any man in. That paired with her big bust and round plump ass, she was a top-level beauty. Though, she was currently being reprimanded. Although it was somewhat funny since the one doing it was a young lady with a red flushed face.

"Lacy! What are you doing? Don't drag me into your..."

"Oh, come on. You know I'm right. Also, weren't you sneaking glances at him earlier too, and whispering to me how handsome he was?"

"Wh-what are you talking about! Stop speaking nonsense!"

Lacy responded with a coquettishly giggle as she looked at Linda with an amusing gaze. Linda, on the other hand, was currently flustered with a face as red as a tomato and her hazel eyes turning watery. She had long brown hair that slid down her slender waist and stopped at her nice perky ass. Her bust, although not as big as Lucy's, was still full and firm. Alongside her pretty face, it made her look innocent yet sexy.

"Stop it! I command you as the captain of this squad!" Linda yelled with a flushed face and teary eyes, making her look quite cute.

"HAHAHA" Lucy couldn't hold it anymore and just laughed out wildly, making her breast giggle up and down as the two men in across couldn't help but gulp hard.

"Wah- You're bullying me again. Do you guys still see me as the leader, right guys? Dave? Adam?" She looked at them with pleading eyes.

Dave still sour just ignored her. Seeing this, the more experienced and mature Adam with the scar on his cheek couldn't help but let out a sigh "Hais~ I just think that this isn't the time for this. Although you're the captain, this is still your first time doing a level two mission. This isn't like going on the other side of the city wall doing some cleanup; we are currently on a rescue mission out in the wilderness," Adam said in a stern voice before looking at her. "Therefore, if you can't even keep your cool with some teasing, then how can I trust you to lead us when shit hits the fan out there?!"

Releasing that what Adam said was true, she realized that now isn't the time for this. Taking a deep breath, she apologized and tried to regain her composure.

"Good, as long as you know. What about you, Jay? This all started because of you, yet you haven't made a peep."

At that moment, all four of their heads turn to look at the young man sitting at the back end of the vehicle, waiting for his response. At the same time, they couldn't help but admire his beauty and charm.

Wavy and short black hair like the night sky. Shining deep blue eyes that seem like a deep pond or an ocean. Lines so perfect and sharp that made it look as if his face was sculpted. Thin red lips that can make any woman want to take a bite. A black combat suit was hugging his body tightly, revealing his built body of hard muscle, showing that he hasn't an ounce of fat. And a light, almost subtle, a caramel skin tone that gives him an exotic feeling. A man that all men hate and women yearn to slip in bed with. A truly handsome man.

"???"

'How the fuck did I start this? It was all you idiots creating all the drama.'

Although he thought that, he decided to forget about it since it isn't a big deal. Responding to Adam, he merely looks over and smiles. Smiles as if everything that was said and heard was a joke—a smile that momentarily stunned all four of them, even the men.

"FuFuFu~ Hey handsome, why don't we go celebrate after we're done with lousy mission back at my place" Lucy flirts with Jay, blatant lust in her eyes. Lust and... something else.

Not responding; Jay leans back with eyes closed while Lucy keeps staring with hungry eyes. But he remembered that before he closed his eyes that he saw a haze of pink that shone instantly and disappeared just as fast. But he still noticed.

It came from Lucy's eyes.

A single thought ran through Jay's mind.

'This lady is... annoying.'
