6 My Little Lamb

Sunrise next morning...

The little town looked meek and gloomy. No buildings being fully intact and crack everywhere, as if a magnitude nine earthquake stormed through. Looking beyond this stain of gray and one would see an ocean of green. A prehistoric-looking forest that seemed to cage and slowly invaded the little grey town.

In the forest, some dark red and frenzied eyes blinked into existence now and then. They looked excited as if finally catching up to their prey after a long chase.

Meanwhile, in a particular location, two bodies were rhythmically breathing, sleeping next to each other. Slowly one body wrapped his arms around the other and started to snuggle while pulling tighter, slowly, subconsciously.

The one being pulled felt this and opened their eyes to see the mans face-to-face with their own. They reached out then...

'PA!'

'BANG!'

"Ahh, What the fuck was that for!"

"You shut your gay ass up!"

Adams's face was ghastly pale and filled with disgust as he yelled back.

The night before Adams and Dave went to the back of one of the self-driven armored trucks to sleep in. Since those things were built like iron fortresses, Adams felt pretty relaxed and soon went to a deep sleep after an exhausting day. Except that he didn't expect to wake up face-to-face with Dave as he snuggled up to him.

Just the thought of it sent shivers down his spine.

"You must be imagining things; there is no way that I'm into men!"

Dave semi-retorted as he looked away with an embarrassed and ashamed expression.

"Whatever, let's just go with the rest of the team and see how those noble are progressing. And I'll make a note to never sleep in the same room as you again."

Adams told Dave while saying the latter half of the sentence under his breath. Yet Adams still heard it and felt like disappearing was all he wanted at the moment.

Coming outside, Adams and Dave were greeted with Jay, Lucy, and Linda already waiting there.

Dave went straight to join them, but Adams was smarter and more experienced. He noticed how Jay was standing in the center with both Lucy and Linda slightly behind them, but Linda was closer. Also, Linda had a slight flush and looked to be a young girl in love as she occasionally peeked towards Jay, while Lucy looked more like a loyal servant who seemed to respect Jay as she dared not to look directly at him.

Adams stared at the three a bit longer but found out nothing else. In his head, he concluded that Linda and Jay might now be a thing, but that's about it, and he didn't care since it didn't affect him or the mission.

Currently, Lucy had her eyesight, and everything looked perfectly normal, so Adams didn't see her hazy eyes, but that all depended on how Jay felt as he had control over her sight.

What Adams put most of his attention at was that Jay was intently staring into the forest, seemingly as if he thought hard about something. With his brows furrowed, he even looked kind of cute.

'Damn! This guy is too handsome for his own good.'

Adams wiped the cold sweat off his forehead as he cleared his questionable thoughts.

The forest was around 100 meters from where they were standing. Looking into the woods for a while, he was also able to see faint flickers of red occasionally. He also felt a demonic and evil aura spreading out from within that forest.

"What is that?"

Adams stuttered as he felt an instinctive fear towards the unknown. He was able to tell that whatever it was, it was a threat to his life.

"Demonized, at least a dozen soldiers with two or three elites mixed in."

Jay responded, still having a thoughtful expression. Next, his eyes flashed as if having thought of something and immediately started sending mental messages to Lucy, which startled her since she didn't know the limits of her newfound master.

"Huh, wait-what?" Dave had a temporary brain shut-down.

Everyone besides Jay now had a look of astonishment then turned into fear listening to him.

"Wait, Jay did you just say that there are several elites demonized in the forest!" Linda was still in shock.

"Why are there demonized here? There is no way we could beat them even if there were only soldiers, but now there are also elites!" Linda said with dread.

Linda and Lucy also didn't know of the situation as they just followed Jay out of the building when he suddenly stopped and just kept looking ahead. When they asked why he just said: "I'm just thinking of how to put your abilities to good use to kill that noble."

Of course, they were shocked, but upon seeing that playful smile on his face, they couldn't but believe him. Also, they might have fallen into a daze, completely forgetting where they were until the two others joined.

"Hurry, let's go and hide in the trucks since they haven't attacked yet," Dave said as he turned ready to run.

"And what? Trap yourself in that cage? You know that those vehicles won't move unless commanded to by higher-ups, right?" Jay spoke calmly.

"But we can't fight them! Lets just run Jay, run, and hide until reinforcements come."

Linda pleaded with Jay. She just fell in love and didn't want to lose it already. Jay didn't spare anyone a single glance as he kept looking forward with his slight smile, thinking that things are indeed working out perfectly.

Noticing his weird behavior, Linda then looks towards Lucy only to find her an expression of shock and disbelief. Yet the fear from earlier isn't shown on her face anymore.

During their conversation, Jay didn't stop sending instructions to Lucy mentally.

"Ok, I know what to do now," Jay said confidently, "Let's head back to that underground passage where the main gate to the underground shelter is."

"Are you an idiot? saying that you want to put us in a dead-end!" Dave angrily retorted.

"Hmm? Lucy hurries up and does that thing."

Jay said in an irritated tone as he looked back to Lucy with cold looking eyes for not doing her job correctly. Lucy panicked, seeing that she is already making her new master displeased with her. She then looked at Dave with hatred and blame for Jay's anger, unleashing her full mental power without concern if it were to make him a retard later.

"AHH!" Dave screamed in agony as he clutched his head, "Why! Stop it; it hurts... ahh!"

"Let's go."

Jay coldly ignored him as he continued to walk towards the noble entrance.

Both Adams and Linda were stupified as to what was happening. Linda recovered first and went after Jay and Lucy, who now had a seemingly lifeless Dave walking close by. Adams saw that Dave was still alive yet somewhat out of it, relaxed subtly, and followed too.

It wasn't until they reached the entrance that Adams started to question Jay and Lucy.

"Don't worry; he's still alive... for now, at least. What the nobles do to him is still up in the air, though."

Lucy didn't say anything as she was too afraid to anger Jay again.

Jay replied in a jokingly manner, still looking towards the ten-meter long tunnel leading to the entrance. However, Adams was utterly lost. He thought that they were going to fight, no try to survive the demonized onslaught. Now Jay mentioned surviving from the nobles?

Jay was too lazy to explain further and looked towards the listless Dave.

"Now be a good little goat and have all the attention, would you? Hais, maybe if you weren't so annoying and dumb, I would have kept you alive longer. Too bad... not really hehe," Jay teased.

"Rraaahh!"

Before Jay could continue to have more fun, a violent and crazed roar came from the entrance of the tunnel.

Looking back, he saw a group of demonized figures with crazed looks staring straight at them. A shadow of a smile formed upon his handsome face as he performed a sarcastic theatrical bow towards them with one arm across his chest and the other thrown back.

"Good, good. Just be my good little lamb and be my tools in this play of mine~."
