11 Chapter 11: In Between Right and Wrong

Max looks down at the world he created and floats back down to Achlys and Odin. "Back to what we were doing."

"Max wait." Achlys stops Max before he could make another diamond. "You say you created this world and its people right"

"Right. Why do you ask?" Max says confused.

"Then why are there people like Zeus?" Achlys asks. "If you created these people, why is there evil in the realms?"

"It will take too long to explain Achlys." Max says a bit angered.

"My lord, she has the right to ask." Odin says defending Achlys. "We all have the right to know."

"Alright then. Take a seat it'll take a while." Max says as he finds some tree stumps. "When I was outcasted by the people I created, I got mad. I was enraged, yet confused. In that whole ordeal, I had let my feelings run loose. Which resulted in the evil we now know today."

"My lord." Odin tries to say something but can't find the words.

"I somewhat know what that's like." Achlys says. "I'm an outcast too. Why do you think I ran out on the council? Life can just throw so much at you, to the point when you think it's too much."

"But why continue my lord?" Odin asks. "All the deaths, all the pain the mortals in their realm had to face."

"I continued because they has to be evil in this world." Max says. "There has to be evil for good to exist. It's the same way around as well. There can't be a pure world of good, and there can't be a pure world of evil."

"Is that why you created hell." Odin asks.

"Yes, but at this point, the line between heaven and hell begins to blur with each coming day." Max says. As he looks around the world he created. "I might as well send myself to hell, considering all the innocent lives I've been throwing away."

Achlys looks around. Knowing that in minutes she will be gone. "Max, when I die-"

"Achlys." Odin stops her. "Look me in the eyes kid, do you want this? Do you want it to end?"

"Goddess." Achlys says. "You said-"

"I know what I said, kid. I promised you my trust, and you have it, but is this what you want?" Odin says choking on each word. "Please, if you do, do it without any doubt, even if there's even a one percent chance I-"

"Odin." Max says. "It's her decision. She's the one who will make it."

"Thank you Max." Achlys walks over to Max. "Tell me one thing. What happens when I die?"

"Well, since you're already in heaven." Max says. "You'll most likely have a do-over in life."

"Alright." Achlys says.

"Tell me when you're ready." Max says. "I'll give you some time if you need it."

"No need. I'm ready."
