3 Chapter 3: The Argument (CONTENT WARNING: GORE)

It was about 6 pm by then, and my father was nearly black-out drunk, and now that I'm looking back on it, maybe I shouldn't have picked a fight with him. Anyway, I noticed that my brother seemed quieter then usual, so I decided to question him about it. I was sitting on the couch as my father was finishing off the glass I had just filled, in his tall-backed leather chair.

"Yui, your quieter than usual, is anything wrong?" I asked, because of course, I was the protective older sister.

"..you know how your nonbinary?" He looked up at me, scooting over to sit by my feet, his head laying on my lap as I smoothed over his hair, nodding.

"Yeah, What are you tryin to say, kiddo?" I questioned further, curious.

"I think I'm trans." He mumbled, one of his arms snaking around my leg.

"There will be none of that in this house." My father's dark, velvety voice slurred out. "There will be none of that..bullshit in this house."

"Oh really father? And what are you gonna do about it?" I stood up, pushing him behind me. Despite my short stature, I was pretty strong, I could throw a punch if I wanted to. Since he was drunk he would be easier to take down.

He stumbled forward, shoving me back a little, but luckily it didn't force me back too much, so I twisted my ankle to get behind his knee, pulling my leg forward enough to also stumble back as well, knocking him on his ass. I hit the wall painfully loud, nearly knocking my brother down. Oh well, I guess.

He laid there for a few moments, huffing and puffing, as I shoved my brother closer to the stairs, motioning for him to flee to my room and hide. Luckily, I had had prepared for something like this, so yes, there was a gun in my drawer. I think the ammo was somewhere in the bottom drawer, but to be honest, I don't remember anything.

He had fled up the stairs along with me closely behind him. He pushed my bedroom door open, and I nudged him to hide in the closet, but he just balled up in the corner, covering his years, salty, painful tears slipping down his face.

"Keo? Please don't do it-" He spoke as as I pushed around in my clothes, assembling the gun quickly, my skilled hands locking and clicking pieces together. I finished assembling it, as the door busted open.

I struggled to cover my ears, but it didn't matter at that moment, what mattered was our safety. My hand was shaking but I tried to hold it steady as I adjusted my position to be a pyramidal base, my pelvis was to be at about a 45 degree angle, and I locked eyes with the father that had tormented me for years and years.

One shot. Two. Three. Blood splattered the floor as he fell to the floor, holding his stomach and shoulder, falling to his knees in front of me. My ears were ringing like crazy, and I felt like throwing up. I hated the sight of blood..and oh god, guts. Ew, ew, ew.

I stumbled forward and little, kicking him over, pressing my heel to his throat. "Прощай, чертов демон!" (Goodbye you demon). I pressed down with all of my weight, cutting off his air supply. I turned to by brother, simply motioning to him to start a bath, and I would take care of this.
