1 Chapter 1: A new start

"I'm part of ARMY." I mumble softly as I caress my soft cheek against my arm. Smiling, I toss around in my bed, barely awake from my dream. Reaching the climax, which can be faintly seen, I say the words I've longed to say.

"I love you-"

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

My eyes slam open in frustration. I zoom my vision to the electric, blue box on my desk and glare with an enormity which would make anyone or anything melt on the spot. However, my stare does no good and the annoying sound keeps on drilling into my brain.

I slide up from my sleeping position and yawn tiredly as I scan the room with blood lust eyes. It's the same as ever. Nothing to be found but posters, merchandise, glow sticks, outfits, books and more glow sticks, with a few cases of albums scattered here and there.

Sighing, I fly my feet over the side of the bed and smash the alarm to silence. Slowly standing up, I raise my hands over my head and stretch the exhaustion out from the inner core of my body. I stumble towards the hanging monument and glance at today's date. The writing beside the red circle reads: 'Starting school.'

I blink a few times to make sure I wasn't seeing things, then I crouch over to my alarm clock and find the time to be 7:40 AM.

Recalling the school letters I received on my 2 week holiday, I open the top section of my desk drawer eagerly and find my answer that I have been asking myself: 'Did I over sleep?'

Reading the number highlighted in bold, I fly towards the storing cabinet and rip open the door to reveal an array of clothes, different in size and length. As I slice through each outfit with panic, I start to venture my brush through the jungle on top of my head.

Once I've found my outfit and untangled my mane, I stitch the garments roughly on to my skin and scoop my feet into the newly bought black shoes.

Glancing at the alarm again, I dash out of the familiar room and out the door to my destination: Maeum Academy.

* * *

Huffing and puffing like I've just ran out of air to breathe on - and I probably have - I race to the front of the grand building, hoping I'm not too late, too late to-

SLAM!

The doors shut as I step half way across the lawn. My legs gradually come to a step. Are you telling me that I ran for no reason?

It usually would take me 20 minutes to arrive anywhere that is 2 kilometers away but since I ran, it has taken me just to the cusp of 10 minutes, and I guess those 10 minutes don't really count when it's only 7:57 AM.

I decide to still try to see if I can get to school as a valid attendant. I peer up the widely spaced steps and jog to those doors that have deceived me by locking me out. I try to open the door but there's so movement. The doors are closed as shut as a really-difficult-to-open jar of food.

Thinking logically, I whip my head from the left to the right of the school and find nothing more but trees and more trees. 'I hope I haven't actually arrived at Moorim School.' I think.

Sighing, I trot down the step back to the fresh lawn. It's quite tranquil if you ask me. There's a magnificent white water fountain bang on the middle, hand-crafted monuments at every corner, a banner of 'Welcome Freshmen' above this all and a small figure.

Wait. A figure? I squint my eyes at the only other person than myself and wonder why on earth they are walking towards me with the same confused face as I have plastered on my face.

As soon as the person has reached the lawn, my eyes expand rapidly. It's a male with fluffy black hair. Their shiny dark brown eyes gleam brightly and their smile says a thousand words. My lips have opened 2 inches apart and my eyebrows have reached their highest. Am I in heaven?

Before my saliva even had the time to escape from my mouth, a hand has tapped me on my shoulder. I look to the person and gulp. I think I'm in trouble.

"Miss Park. Please may you follow me this way?" The man, who I can recognize as being a teacher, says.

I nod obediently. Before I trudge with the teacher to probably the Head Master's office, I swivel my head back to the male. Strangely enough, he had disappeared. Had I imagined the boy?

"Have you finished sightseeing?" The thunderous voice pierces through my body.

"Yes." I speak with nervousness.

The teacher leads me towards the designated place, while I ponder about my apparent day dream.
