3 Chapter Three: Searching

The well dark suited young boy glimpsed around through his dark shades to take in what he was about to do the next few minutes while he waited for his obviously late inviter to arrive. His ears soon picked up the creaking of doors which he took as a sign someone has arrived. A tall standing and adorable girl came forward waving with one hand and a large bear in the other with two large armed bodyguards following behind came to greet him with an awfully big grin. "Peter Fowlmere, the great legend finally arrives in person! I was actually worried that you didn't get my invitation to come. Ah, it just flutters my heart that you have accepted.", she squealed in an accent whilst grabbing his chin up, moving left and right before pinching his cheeks.

"If a confession is what you have called me out for, I would rather have gone to a charity event.", the young boy spat at her what his mind spoke as he glared at her touch.

"Aww, you are just the same as always aren't you?", she squealed again before he slapped her hand away, clearly annoyed.

Someone please save my ears. He thought as he covered one of them.

"Ouch. You're so mean. I was only playing around.", she said in a passive way. "Have you found him? ", he said as he relaxed his eyes. "Of course, it wasn't hard at all. He's down east, near a remote  town-village called Kimuhara. He didn't even bothered to scatter his trace. Which leads to only one explanation.", she said as she pulled back her face behind her toy.

"A trap."

Well, doesn't that sound like a special someone.", she chuckled as she walked in small circles around the artifacts for tomorrow's charity fund auction.

"Hey, Peter, do you think you can give me one of these?", she smiled at him bright-eyed.

"No.", he answered with a cold stern voice.

"Please?", she tried begging in her cute voice and puppy-dog eyes.

"Fine.", he sighed admitting defeat.

"Yay! You're the best!", she exclaimed jumping around.

"Jeremy.", he ordered.

"Yes, Master?", said a light voice in the shadows.

"Record what she took and account her for finding another artifact with the same price or more.", he gave his orders as he watched her prance around choosing.

Peter didn't really cared if she didn't do as asked, right now he was assured because his brother's actions couldn't be any better proof that he is and will be alive. He just hope he doesn't do anything stupid.

"It's so smooth and soft.", June complimented as she stroked his wings again and again with eyes of curiosity.

"How in the world did you even get them?", Eve asked baffled that a child had wings growing on his back.

"I can make them disappear if they make you uncomfortable.", he said with a small voice and his head down low. He was getting very embarrassed that two humans were now watching him like they were scientists discovering a new species. It made his face feel flushed a lot of times as he never had been this close to others other than his brother before.

"You can do that?!", June gasped and raised her voice in excitement which was exactly what they didn't need. Eve cupped her hand onto her mouth and shushed her. "You'll be waking up the neighbours at this time of night.", she whispered into her ear. They both watched as he said, "Goods of day, bads of night, listen to me and chase these wings away, to let no other know of this sight."

The wings vanished as the words were spoken and the both of them just looked in stupor and gaped like fishes out of water.

"Are you both alright?", the young boy questioned, waving his hand in front of their faces.

"Yes, of course, definitely."

Each of them answered in stutter one after another.

Well. I definitely broke them. The young boy thought to himself and sighed.

Sorry for such late updates, a new school term has just come around and I had been trying hard to cope with it. Oh, how did you find Peter? Is he up to your expectations? How do you want him to improve?
