4 The Price to Make

I was walking through the hallway till I found myself where the bath was being made. It was in the open bathhouse at the back.

"What a very strong smell, may I do say."

"Ara. Wasn't Uncle the one who asked for this thing to be made?"

I looked at one of the pillars behind me and there I found Ayra twiddling some strands of her hair.

"Ayra. Weren't you busy?"

"Hehe. I always have time for Uncle. So... What kind of medicinal bath is this, Uncle?"

"Nothing much. It just tempers the body and clear out the meridians."

"You say it was nothing but two of those ingredients were anything but nothing. Just a single blade from the Five Bladed Leaf cost more than two pair of limbs and you asked for three whole leaves. And just a tiny fragment of a drop of Yang Tiger's blood can make those cultivators in the Great Revolution stage create blood baths. I really don't know how would they feel if they found out that two drops were used just for a medicinal bath to temper the body and clear out the meridians for a young child who haven't even step foot in the cultivation world yet."

"Do you love teasing me so much?"

"Yes. Just as much I love Uncle."

A bright set of white teeth could be seen as her dazzling smile grace upon me. Shaking my head in defeat, I returned my gaze towards the bath. It seems the bath would be finish. I smashed my chest without reserve and coughed out some essence blood. They floated up in the air and coagulate into five crimson drops blood. They slowly approached the bath and mixed. The original color of the bath turned dark and murky as reddish light could be seen sometimes flickering on its surface. I gave out a sigh of relief. It seems to be finished. I turned my head to see the pale countenance of the person by the pillar.

"Why are you the one turning pale? Are you alright?"

"That's what I'm supposed to ask you, Uncle! It's done right? Just head in to your room and give yourself a well deserve rest. I'll be calling lil' Green."

"Call Green, I'll be here, waiting."

"Uncle!"

"I want to see how it turns out. Don't worry, Ayra. I'm fine."

"...If you say so Uncle."

Turning her back, she walked away to call the lil' one. Those five drops just now caused me about a fifth of my lifespan. The making the bath would need only get worse as each day comes as the number of ingredients would only get more and its quality only better. Even the number essence blood drops would increase. The amount of headache coming for the days to come made me let out a sigh.

"Uncle? Why are you sighing."

Turning my head to the entrance, I saw the pair of mother and son.

"You're aging by letting out a sigh. Ack! Mom! Why did you hit me?"

"I just felt like it? Anyways, go. Undress and head out for the bath."

Ayra shown a look of annoyance as she rubbed the hand that hit the poor one's head.
