1 The Kingdom Of Light

Millions of years passed since the start of the New Era opened by the first 3 Primals, and new powers rose up to take the highest position in the 6 Realms.

The Kingdom Of Light was one such power. It was the strongest power in the Heavenly Realm, one of the 6 realms and called its kingdom as true Heaven.

The Kingdom of Light was ruled by 13 separate Palaces with each palace having their own role in the kingdom.

But for some reason, the Lightning Palace of the Kingdom of Light was in chaotic state at this moment.

Cultivators so old that they reached unbelievable heights in their 'Light Force' cultivation flooded the palace's conference room like hens.

Their faces, which usually had haughty and unrestrained expressions, now carried fear and more fear and only fear.

The Palace Head of the Lightning Palace was a one in a million genius who took the command of the Lightning Palace at a delicate age of 37 and was called the 'Child Of Heaven'.

But right now, he contained not even a string of dignity he should have had! And Instead, looked like an ugly old man with wrinkles so long that they seemed to fall off his face. These past few days had not been easy on him. He had lost quite a bit of weight in the past few days.

Even though he was more anxious than everyone else present in this hall, he still did not show it on his face. He shook his head fiercely and forcefully maintained an indifferent look.

As the head, he should at least maintain the appearance of one.

"We are doing this regardless of the consequences!" The palace head said with absolute deterrence. He wasn't the strongest in this hall, but he still held the 'loudest voice' here.

His voice was so loud that even when all other voices combine, they can't compare with his single voice.

His had the highest authority and say in the Lightning Palace because he their gem, their backing, their trump card, their ace, and everything important, he...he possessed the 'Heavenly Thunder Axe'.

This Axe was a priceless treasure! And It alone could outweigh the importance of the 'Lightning Palace' to the Kingdom Of Light.

The Palace Head was the only person in the Lightning Palace who was allowed to touch it, and naturally he became the most influential person in this hall.

The anxious old men became even more anxious hearing their Palace Head's determined tone! Troubled and anxious, these old men who could destroy their Palace Head with a flick of their fingers looked at the the person seated opposite to their Palace Head.

An old man with a vigorous vitality sat there. This old man was a special existence in the Lightning Palace! He was the Palace Head's only master.

His name was 'Guang Huo', and he was their greatest weapon against the Palace Head!

Guang Huo felt the whole place's attention on him, yet, he nonchalantly drank his tea, smacking his lips while staring outside the window and ignoring everything else.

He took a long sip of the Heavenly tea which was only available to the Palace Heads and immersed himself in its flavour.

Even though the body purification effects of the Heavenly tea no longer applied to his body, he still loved the sweet and persistent flavour of this top notch tea.

The old man beside Guang Huo, a close childhood friend of his, nudged his arm a little and scolded him for being such a lazy bone. They were practically sweating out of fear here, but this fool was still enjoying tea because he only got it a few times from his student.

"Huo, what do you think of this?" Under others intense plea, the childhood friend could not help but voice out their question.

Guang Huo suddenly looked at his childhood friend strangely.

"Hmm! The tea is very well brewed. If possible, I would love a refill!"

The whole hall became speechless! His childhood friend facepalmed himself angrily. Even though he knew what kind of person his childhood friend was, he still felt like giving this guy a good smack on his face!

The Palace Lord was accustomed to his master's behaviour, so he just gave a weak smile before he repeated his words.

"I know this decision isn't the best! But, we have no other choice but to attack the senior princess due to the situation!"

Hearing this, one old man could not help voicing out his opinion. "But, can we kill her? Even if we use all of our blood essence and gang her up, we will just be annihilated! I don't understand Palace Head's decision! Please enlighten this rude soul!"

The palace Head sighed helplessly at the question.

He forced himself to put on a confident yet weak smile. "A week ago, I received important intel about the Senior Princess from the Enforcement Palace. She is going to give birth to her child in five days! ... We all know that she had been holding back the child's birth for 3 years already, and that their clan members are at their weakest while giving birth! If we are going to kill her, our best bet is this time! If we miss this chance, we might not stumble upon another good chance like this!"

"Ohhh!" A series of surprised gasps escaped from these old men. 'So it was true!' They inwardly sighed.

They already had a basic idea about the situation, but now that the information was verified by their Palace Head, they could not hold back their sighs.

Now that they knew this important information, they would be forced to participate in this war regardless of their opinions. Such was the cost of knowing dangerous information. You have to be responsible for it!

"Little Wang, are we the only ones attacking the Senior Princess? What about the other palaces?" Guang Huo finally joined the conversation. He was also the only person in here to have the guts to address the Palace Head as little Wang!

"Sigh! All the 13 palaces except the Core Palace and the Snow Palace are participating in this attack!" The palace head sighed. Killing the Senior Princess had always been a top priority of the Heaven and it's thirteen palaces.

'Hmm! I can understand the Snow Palace being out of this, but why is the Core Palace who have the most animosity with the Senior Princess not attacking? Hmm! Something is not right!'

Guang Huo pondered silently. As the only master of the Palace Head, he had the authority to take matters into his hands if push comes to shove. So he had always been extra careful to ensure the maximum survival of the Lightning Palace.

"So, What is our Lightning Palace's part in this attack?" Huo raised his eyes and asked his best disciple.

The Palace Lord bowed his head a little before replying, after all Guang Huo was his master and also the previous Palace Head of the Lightning Palace.

"We have to destroy all the barriers set up by the senior princess! Mainly, the outer barrier that the Senior Princess took 2 years to create through her ancient seals!"

Cough! Cough!

A series of old men coughed out blood when they heard this unreasonable treatment.

"Palace Head, they are too much! Let's just drop out of this!" The old men immediately went crazy, getting up and banging the table, hard!

"Yeah! What do they think of us? Their Slaves!?"

"Let's just drop out, palace head! I am sure that the Core Palace would protect us, just like how they are protecting the Snow palace!"

The Palace Head was also angry. He banged the table even harder and reprimanded them! "What can we do now! Everything is already decided! If we don't participate this time, all other palaces would collude and destroy us anyway! We don't have an option to oppose them this time!."

In fact, even the palace Head did not want to attack the Senior Princess. She was simply too strong.

A barrier which took her two years when she was at her peak! It would take all of the Lightning Palace's millions of reserve resources to destroy such a barrier, and the other palaces wanted just that! They want the Lightning Palace to go bankrupt on their resources.

The old men fumed in anger, but there was nothing they could do now. Even though they were forced to exhaust their resources, they had to do it without complaining! All because they feared total annihilation!

"How are we going to destroy the barrier?" Guang Huo still had a leisure expression. He just asked the main points without complaining like others.

The palace Head raised the Heavenly Thunder Axe. It felt extremely heavy in his hands at this moment.
