4 The 13 Palaces

A repulsive barrier wasn't a simple barrier.

Cultivators were only acknowledged as true cultivators when they could use their cultivation to create their own defensive barriers.

So, most cultivators knew how to create a barrier. Some cultivators could even create barriers that were made out of fire, water, and other elements.

The ten palaces were in a dilemma as they passively defended Hei Yi's attacks. With a repulsive barrier that no one knew how strong it was, guarding the small house, they could forget about breaking in and killing the senior princess.

"Fuck! Just how strong is that barrier! Did she use her whole life perfecting it to the peak?" The Palace Head of the Fire Palace cursed dejectedly. He could already see that their attacks would not be able to pierce through the barrier!

Only when they heard the screams of the Fire Palace Lord did the other cultivators understand that their real hurdle wasn't the large barrier from before, but it was the small repulsive barrier around this simple wooden house.

Without any way to destroy the barrier, the ten palaces turned towards Hei Yi who was laughing like a madman and butchering their cultivators like they were his pigs.

The Palace Head of the Water Palace furrowed her brows as she looked at the profound blackness covering Hei Yi. "Don't use your true essence when attacking him! He is using a strange Law that depends on True Essence to create Void when you attack him. Even though the Law is very strange and even more profound, all Laws require True essence to function! Since his very own true essence is already exhausted, attack him with pure physical power. He won't be able to active that Void Law anymore!" She calmly analysed.

"Ahhh! How could I forget!" Suddenly, Huang PaoYan hit his own head like he was a fool and charged towards Hei Yi.

Hei Yi was exhausted, but with the strange Law creating void every time he was attacked, he did not care about Huang PaoYan's attack and just wildly swung his branch towards the opponent's face.

As for the Water Palace Head's words, Hei Yi did not hear them as he busy cutting these old bastards heads.

Paoyan cleanly dodged the incoming attack and raised his mace and brought it at Hei Yi's head.

"PaoYan! Watch out!" Suddenly, the Fire Palace Head, who was smirking and waiting for some kind of response from inside the house cried out. He charged wildly towards Guang PaoYan hoping to use his own body to protect him.

But the warning came too late, and a white branch aimed towards PaoYan's 'God Kingdom'. The white branch easily crushed Paoyan's God Kingdom and slashed his God Soul to pieces.

Under hundreds of the cultivators eyes, one of their strongest, Guang PaoYan, the Enforcment Palace's Palace Head, was killed by a sixteen year old teenager at this moment.

Seeing this weird yet scary scene, the cultivators of the 10 palaces could not help but take a step back in fear.

Out of the 13 palaces of the Heaven, the Core Palace was the strongest. The Lightning Palace had the best treasure, the Snow Palace had the most diverse background, the Fire Palace was the most fierce, the Water Palace was the most gentle, the Sky palace was the most empty, the sword palace had the most enemies.

Every Palace had their own strong points and weak points. Then, what was the strong point of the Enforcement Palace?

The Enforcement Palace was the most populated and independent palace of the kingdom of light. It was also the only palace that was allowed to roam freely outside the premises of the kingdom of light. Every other palace would need the acknowledgement from their Palace Ancestors if they wanted to visit the outside world.

As one's cultivation increased, so did the strain on their mind. The True essence of the cultivators wasn't easy to handle and would put a constant strain on the cultivator's mind. So, typical cultivators need to temper their mind in the 'mortal realm' in order to handle the huge strain on their minds when they cultivated to the higher levels.

Only when their mind reach a very high state, would they return to the Kingdom of Light and join the other palaces according to their interests.

Guang PaoYan was originally the future successor of the Fire Palace as his grandfather Guang HuoYan was the current head of the Fire Palace, but PaoYan was forced to join the Enforcement Palace by elders of the Fire Palace so that PaoYan could temper his mind before taking reign of the Fire Palace.

Paoyan's grandfather had not objected to the idea, and that led them to this situation.

Guang HuoYan sighed deeply as he looked at the cracked skies.

"Fate cannot be avoided! Perhaps, this is what Fate wants from me!"

With this he jumped up in air and cracked the space around him. In a split second, he was gone, he was no longer in the Heavenly Beast Forest. He returned to the Kingdom of Light along with his dead grandson.

"This shall act as the compensation for my departure!" As he left, a soft voice spread into the surroundings as flames surrounded the members of the Fire Palace.

The members of the Fire Palace Instantly felt a huge amount of fire gushing inside their bodies. This temporarily increased their cultivation by a single level.

Jus imagine, hundred of people who were only dealing 30 damage each, now dealt 60 damage with their every attack.

Guang Huayan used a lot of his blood essence to create this situation. He did not want the other Palaces finding fault with him afterwards.
