3 Another Barrier

The seven coloured lightning was no joke. It was extremely domineering and it had never differentiated between a friend and a foe. Some unlucky cultivators of the Enforcement palace were caught up in its attack range and the lightning ruthlessly crushed them into nothing.

Hei Yi smiled peacefully as the lightning hit him. He knew that he was going to die, but dying by protecting his mother and his little brother made him extremely content.

But the soul stirring pain of the Seven coloured Lightning did not appear on Hei Yi, and he was still alive.

Hei Yi's brows furrowed as he noticed the strange situation and he immediately looked at his own body, only to notice the small layer of blackness that was covering him.

'Did this save me?'

His body had not been harmed by the seven coloured lightning, and the lightning had passed through his body to destroy his mother's barrier.

Hei Yi sighed. Even though he did not understand what exactly happened and even though the conviction to sacrifice himself had been useless, it was not the time to ponder about such small details! His enemies were still here.

The Enforcement Palace Head was the first to react after seeing Hei Yi being unharmed. "Go! The barrier is destroyed!! Kill that bitch before she gives birth!"

The 10 palaces on the scene had same thoughts as they rushed towards the hole in the barrier.

Hei Yi calmly stood before the hole and the grip on the white branch intensified.

"Second form, Wrath of the Nature!" He calmly used the second Law attached to the white branch.

The branch was like a deep abyss constantly sucking blood from his hands. It only stopped when Hei Yi could no longer hold on, and executed the second form. A Small Law appeared out of the branch and spread throughout the whole forest.

The whole Heavenly Forest shook as the light from the white branch fell on it, large and sturdy trees in the Heavenly Beast Forest uprooted themselves, cracking the ground in the process and floated into air to intercept the incoming cultivators.

There might be thousands of enemies, but there were trillions of trees inside the Heavenly forest. Even though the trees could not exactly damage these cultivators due to their high level cultivation, they could still act as punching bags.

Gather enough punching bags and you can even tire out the fiercest of the Tigers. Hei Yi's plan was to do exactly that.

He stood on the unbroken part of barrier and panted hard as he silently controlled the trees to intercept the incoming enemies.

The First form of the white branch had already sucked out his blood and took his True essence along with it. Controlling these trillions of trees with the second form took a large toll on his body.

Far away, two 'planet destroying' beauties were watching this massive scale attack leisurely.

One of them was very young, about 13 years and looked adorable to death, while the other beauty looked about 20 years and her mature figure would leave others wanting to lick her foot.

"Don't you want to save your grandson? He seems to be struggling!" The young girl yawned lazily as she watched trillions of trees being ruthlessly trampled by those old cultivators.

"Who is my grandson? My grandson is yet to be born!" The older female retorted.

"Yes! Yes! I know he is your adopted grandson, and you don't have any love towards him, but.... why are we so early if you are not concerned about him!" The young girl rarely talked, but today, words seemed to flow out of her mouth like a river.

"Hump! I am here to arrange your marriage! Don't you want to be his first wife? It would be too late if you want to be his first wife afterwards." The older lady did not mind the little girl's words as she smiled and caressed her small head.

"Not....really, I don't...care about being his wife!" The young girl did not know how to react in this situation. She was the greatest genius of their clan, yet, she was being married off to a baby who was yet to be born.

The Enforcement Palace Head killed his way through thousand of trees and reached Hei Yi. The Enforcement Palace was the weakest Palace of the 13 Palaces and their part in this raid was only to hold Hei Yi back while the others palaces took care of the Senior Princess!

The Palace Head laughed crazily when he noticed the exhausted Hei Yi. Without any warning, he rushed forward and caught Hei Yi by the neck.

Hei Yi struggled with all of his might, and swinged his white branch. The branch smoothly passed through the Palace Head's hands and cut them off, thus freeing Hei Yi. The White branch was not as simple as it looked.

Hei Yi then jumped back in a swift motion and distanced himself from his opponent. When he looked back at the Enforcement Palace Head, Hei Yi gritted his teeth and let out a cold voice. "Guang TaoYan!"

Guang TaoYan, the Enforcement Palace's palace Head's mouth curved up into a natural sneer. "You remember me! What a good son that bitch gave birth to!"

Hei Yi's face turned dangerous as he forcefully tried to use the First Form and activate the First Law attached to the white branch. The branch wriggled for a second before turning still. No matter how much he tried, the white branch no longer responded to him.

"He he! Too exhausted to even activate your True Weapon! What a shame! You are a disgrace to that peerless bitch!" As he said this, Guang TaoYan summoned his very own true weapon, a Mace.

True essence flooded around Guang TaoYan's body like an ocean, showcasing his high level cultivation. His boundless true essence roamed freely around his body for a second before it entered the Mace.

The Mace gave a brilliant glow and expanded several times as it sucked it's master's true essence and by the end of this one side show, the Mace was ten times larger than before and it was brimming with Guang TaoYan's true essence.

"See that!" Guang TaoYan let out a crazy laugh, as he sneered. "This is how you activate a true weapon! Bah! What am I doing showing off before a dead body?" With these words he swung his mace, the force behind this mace exceeded human perceptions and was even enough to destroy a whole city.

Hei Yi was too exhausted to react in time and just watched dumbfoundedly as the large mace passed through him without damaging his body. He looked down at his body and noticed the slight glimmer of the profound blackness still covering him.

He smirked as he thought.

'Am I invincible right now?'

The strange Law from the 'Void Immortal Throne' back in the northern cave of the 'Heavenly Beast Forest' had given him the basic ability to phase through things. Of course, Hei Yi had no way to know that. He could only take a wild guess.

Seeing his mace pass through Hei Yi's body without damaging him, Guang TaoYan's heart skipped a beat. 'Is this an ability bestowed by that bitch! Even though she is a bitch, she is unparalleled when it comes to things like this.' He inwardly exclaimed.

Now that his attacks no longer affected Hei Yi, TaoYan was in no hurry to attack once more. He distanced himself and watched Hei Yi with his hawk eyes. His Enforcement Palace did not need to kill Hei Yi, they just had to keep Hei Yi from interfering while the others kill his mother, so TaoYan just watched Hei Yi silently.

But, Hei Yi did not share the same sentiment. All he wanted to do was fly towards his mother and protect her, yet, he was being watched like a hawk by Taoyan. He became increasingly nervous as time passed. The other cultivators from the Enforcement Palace also started surrounding him at one point of time.

Finally, he took a chance and moved towards the small house without caring about others. If he really had the ability to phase through things, then he would be able to reach the small house without any problems.

TaoYan made his move as soon as Hei Yi moved, but just like the previous time, Hei Yi passed through the attacks without taking any damage. This made Hei Yi extremely happy as he ignored everything and flew towards his mother.

Taoyan gave chase, constantly sending attacks towards the exhausted Hei Yi, but all attacks failed to connect with something solid and just passed through Hei Yi's body.

Hei Yi ran to the small house by the lake with Taoyan on his tail by the time the other cultivators had already finished clearing the trees.

They released their boundless auras and easily floated towards the small wooden house.

TaoYan looked at Hei Yi with a smile. "Kid, we might not be able to kill you right now, but we will kill your mother!" With that, he conjured a large amount of true essence and fed it to his mace as he swung it towards the wooden house.

But, when the ten times larger, fully strengthened Mace struck the seemingly simple wooden house, a force Taoyan wasn't capable of handling knocked him back and sent him out of the forest like a jet.

TaoYan had to forcefully twist his body and deflect most of the repelling force into his surroundings to save himself. Even then, his chest burnt, and he could not help but cough out a large volume of blood.

Seeing this, the Fire Palace Head's brows furrowed. "A Repulsive Barrier! A strong Repulsive Barrier!" He looked at PaoYan and felt an indescribable pain when he saw Paoyan's sorry state.

'I should not have let him come!' The Fire Palace Lord sighed sadly.
