7 Chp 7

Crow left the abandoned shack with Belle in tow. Although he had protested, Belle only stated that she wanted his gear when he died.

'When not if', Crow sighed as he thought about it, 'she expects me to die' a grim smile spread across his face. He always enjoyed face slapping whether it was during his school years or on his job. The look on their faces was just priceless! Hopefully he would be able to do the same now.

Belle then stopped after they walked for a couple of miles, and crouched low to the floor. Crow mimiced her.

"See that garage over there?" she wispered.

Crow looked and saw an old garage where cars used to get repaired, however an eight foot wall made out of wood, debris, and scrap metal was constructed around it. Search lights would often sweep the perimeter and often came close to where Crow and Belle where peaking.

"Ya, what about it?" Crow asked. She then looked at him like he was a complete idiot.

"Well," she said with some irration in her voice, "thats the vipers gang hideout, I can take you no further"

Crow sighed. He guessed it would've been to easy if shew knew the insided layout. Mustering up the courage he had, he waited till the spotlight passed him once more and activated his skill.

[Shadow walk activated], the monotoned system sounded in his ears, [Do not be detected or your cruddy disguise will be found out. Its not like it won't happen anyways though]

Crow walked quickly half in fear of the systems prompt and half axiously. He knew that if you died in the game you wouldn't really die but the pain would feel real and that would always take a toll on anyones psyche. It was after all the game that sent many to the mental hospital. He also knew there was no save button. Any choice he made was permanent. Although it was a game, it felt like Crow was living another life and he wouldn't be able to bear it if someone had died on his watch.

Carefully, Crow neared the wall and pressed himself against it as much as he could. He then inched his way across the wall towards a small opening. The crack was just big enough for him to squeeze through if he sucked in his stomach. He slowly made his way through the assorted metal and debris strewn into a 'wall' carefull not to cut himself on any of the jagged scrap sticking out.

Once Crow was inside the wall he could see the gaurds on patrol. Some would walk in the same places others just stood there vigilantly watching for any intruders. Not wanting to attract any attention, Crow walked in the opposite direction, towards the back of the compound.

There was two gaurds where one slinked back on a chair sleeping, the other leaning against a wall scanning left and right. Obviously neither wanted to be on gaurd duty. Alen threw a stick in the opposite direction in hopes of getting the leaning gaurds attention somewhere else.

*crack*

The stick broke against the wall wich alerted one of the gaurds attention, he walked across to the source of the noise, he wondered why a stick had fallen in a place no trees existed.

Crow took the chance, he slowly slinked up to the stupified gaurd took out his [small rusted dagger] and reached his hand up to cover the mans mouth and slit his throat, blood spewd out as the man tried to scream but was unable to do so

[Enemy has died]

'So there are enemies here not just survivors', Crow thought, 'if it had been another one I would have cried'. Shaking off his thoughts he moved towards the sleeping guards position to slit his throat as well, 'better safe than sorry'

With the final gaurd delt with, Crow dragged both bodies to an empty crate and dumped them both inside as he didn't want to be found out so soon. Moving back to the backdoor he found a small hole in the buildings wall to wich he could see the inside of

"Four gaurds. Two sleeping and two by the fire pit" Crow whispered to himself

[Congrats you have unlocked the passive skill [Perception] you can now see an enemy's presence behind a wall. Marked by a red orb where their heart is. Only active while sneaking. Cannot be used for finding the undead]

The gaurds Crow had spotted lit up with a red orb as well as another just besides him on the other side of the wall. If he had just walked in there without looking his neck surely would had been severed. He broke into a cold sweat. looking for another opening he found that, although the compound had a back door there where hardly any gaurds near it making it the best place to sneak into. Crow slowly moved to the door and tried opening it but was faced with a locked door.

"Why can't things ever be easy" Crow groaned. He then remembered the two dead gaurds. Surely one if them should have the key. Moving back to the dead gaurds he searched them and unexpectedly found a ring on one of their fingers as well as a glowing bag. He reached out to touch the bag and a prompt filled his vision

[Do you want to claim ownership of this space bag]

Crows eyes widened. This was a bag that you could store larger objects in and still have it be as small or as big as you want it to be. He quicky hit yes and the bag then attached itself to his belt. The ring on the other hand only gave him an [unidentified] prompt. He grabbed the ring anyways and placed it into his new bag.

The way the bag worked was if he thought about the object he wanted he could pull it out from the bag, another way was to open his menu but this was always a risk while you where in battle so it would be best to remember what you put in it before hand.

After searching the dead bodies for five minutes he finally found the key and headed back to the door.
