33 Chapter 32

I stood atop the walls of King's Landing and stared down at the massive Lannister army. The air was tense as none were making the move.

A former Targaryen man snuck behind me and whispered, "Ser, Jaime Lannister was taken from the Red Keep. He was seen with a few Lannister men in the Blackwater bay, rowing away on a boat."

I simply nodded and said, "Increase the men guarding Elia, her children and Lyanna."

Jaime was the only deterrent against a Lannister siege. I knew my words were ignored. People like Tywin would never accept such a feat.

With a makeshift megaphone held in front of me, I yelled, "Tywin Lannister! I am Allan of house Curran. You have come here with your army. Give me a reason for this, or else, it will be considered as a declaration of war."

[Calculating targets...

... 7,028 enemies]

'He's here for a siege. He won't negotiate with a random man like me who has no political standing. Although, there's Elia Martell, Aegon and Rhaenys Targaryen and Lyanna in the Red Keep. Rhaegar has nothing left with him and Aerys is dead. Tywin knows that House Targaryen is lost. Robert Baratheon must be arriving soon as Stormlands are closer to King's Landing than Casterly Rock. Jon Arryn will also be arriving from the Vale. The only thing that delayed them was the opposition they have recieved from houses loyal to Targaryens.'

I smirked as I concluded, 'Tywin knows Robert with be the next king. He wants to gain favor from him... Perhaps, kill Elia and her children and present them as spoils. If he learns that Lyanna is here, he will have her killed as well to place Cersei as the queen. After all, what's one crippled girl's worth against having your blood on the throne, right?'

A lannister messenger waving a white flag rode on his horse towards the gate. Tywin had sent his words.

"Allan Curran, we know you are loyal to the House Stark. House Lannister has allied with House Baratheon, a close ally of your leige. Open the gates and let us in."

Laughter escaped my lips and I said, "Do you take me for a fool? Tywin Lannister is the Hand of the fuckin' king! Allied with us? I will not believe any words spoken by that ruthless old lion until I recieve word from house Stark itself."

The man was visibly incensed. He shouted, "Targaryen men! How dare you surrender to a nobody like him?! Open the gates! You will be spared! If not, each and every one of you will be slaughtered and your heads will be put on a spike for treason!!"

Not a single man moved from his place and I smugly looked down at the Lannister man. He could only grind his teeth and return to Tywin in frustration.

I then said the man nearest to me, "Increase the watch on the mud gate. That's the weakest part of the walls and a siege from there is entirely possible. Kill any Lannister men you see; Riddle them with arrows if you have to."

Tywin's chief spy was dead, so, he had no one who could convince me to open the gates for him. He couldn't play the long game if he wanted to get closer to Robert Baratheon.

'He will attack from the mud gate.'

"Ask the men to gather as much crop husk as possible. I want all of it placed outside, along the walls facing the Blackwater Rush. Do it quickly. Delay is not acceptable."

The men were visibly confused, but, they complied nonetheless.

'Alright, when will you attack? Night or day? Whenever it will be, I'm ready.'

As I had expected, Tywin didn't wait much to make his move.

On the very next day, a part of the Lannister army broke off and marched around King's Landing to reach the mud gate.

'It's day...'

I picked up some sand and let it go.

'The wind is coming from sea to the land.. As expected.'

"Formation C!"

"Formation C!"

As the Lannister cavalry and infantry entered the stretch, arrows lit with fire were shot at them and at the husk placed at the base of the walls. Smoke billowed from the husk and flew up and above the walls. The wind from the sea swept the smoke towards the incoming army and began to cloud their vision.

'This reminds me of harvest season in Punjab... Ah.. The burn in the throat and eyes and the road accidents...'

I returned from that tangent and looked on as the Lannister army tried to maintain composure. Little did they know, I was about to mow them like a mower.

With my full plate armour, sword and halberd, I jumped down the wall and ran towards the approaching army. Unlike my attack against the city, I was pretty sane and in control.

My plate armour was another thing I had forged. With all of my armour and weapons, my stats were raised through the roof. The first unfortunate man and horse couldn't even register that they were cut into half by my halberd.

Essentially, I was like an elephant with Valyrian steel blades instead of ivory tusks. Such was the disparity in my strength and theirs.

'I became overpowered despite of the world limit.' I thought as I cut through a bunch of cavalry and infantry with a single swing.

Slowly, screams of the Lannister men began to echo throughout the land. The smoke screened the massacre, but, the painful screams of terror struck the Lannisters like a battering ram.

Slowly, the colour of the smoke was beginning to change. It took on a pink hue which then turned red.

The men on the walls relived the horror of the day when I invaded the city.

[Limit-break activated.

All stats have been increased by 300%]

I felt the rush in my body as my blade slashed through metal, cloth, skin and bone. My swings and slashes were so quick that they went through their victims without getting stained by the blood.

The Lannisters came in droves towards me as I performed the dance of death. Their numbers fell steadily and soon, half of the Lannister army was slain.

From the smoke I emerged like a demon, bathed in the blood of the men I'd culled. The screams were gone and the land was silent once more. The remaining army was within my sight and through my labored breaths, I roared, "Lannisters!!"

With my eyes wide and my teeth bared, I said, "I am Allan Curran!! You came for war... So.. Prepare to die!!"

A/N: In Punjab, farmers burn the husk after harvesting their paddy (rice) crop and it produces a lot of pollution. Handling the husk is very difficult and the time constraints of cultivating the land for weat crop force the farmers to resort to burning their fields. There are little alternatives to it and all are quite expensive or unavailable to everyone.

Accidents on highways happen during this time because the smoke completely obscures the vision. It's a problem that is being addressed by the government.

I'm from a farming family so I know about the farming practices quite intimately. Please don't start a dialogue in the comments (I'm looking at you, fellow Indians). If you wanna say something bad about farmers or Punjab or sikhs.. Or any religion for the matter... do it under youtube videos. I won't tolerate that here.
