As my uncle and the elders of the clan came around me and placed their hands on my shoulders closing their eyes as if the energy needed to test me is not only spiritual but also mental. I start to feel a warm calming energy slowly circulate my body then return to the elders. They all open their eyes, shock present as if they just saw a wide world that hasn't been mapped.

"Shen it seems I was right that you are a Shen clan member." My uncle stated. My eyes shine brightly from the excitement. "It also seems that your talent regarding cultivation's is on near par with my own. He must've looked at you and felt a great potential waiting to be unearthed. Sad that we can't ask him if he knew exactly how high your potential was."

"Clan leader where shall we put him?" Asked

Shen Jian "As I feel he would make a great Sword mountain disciple."

"No! He would make a great Talisman mountain disciple."

"No! You are both wrong. He would make a great Smith disciple."

"No! You are all wrong. He would make a great Formation mountain disciple."

"ENOUGH!" My uncle shouted boosting his voice. "You all act as if he isn't here. Ask his opinion in this as it is the one that matters."

I quickly tried to think of which would be better but I didn't know what they entailed. "Uncle may I know what each mountain's specific craft entails. For it would make my choice easier." I asked trying to understand what was going on.

"Ok Zhu make sure to listen closely as this quite troublesome to explain. The Formation mountain specializes in making formations which can do a variety of things. For example they can make formations that gathers the ambient energy in the air and focus it on one spot. The Talisman mountain makes talismans. Talismans are things that can let you have a temporary boost of combat prowess, a portable barrier, and a emergency heal. For example a Mortal Grade 3 Attack Talisman can act as a mid level Mortal cultivators attack with a very small fraction of that energy." At this my eyes gleamed with curiosity at how such a thing could work.

"Now wait until I'm finished before you think of your choice. The Smith mountain makes all the tools and weapons of our clan. The Sword mountain teaches all our disciples sword techniques and contain our secret technique to make sword and fist intent."

"What's sword intent?"

"Sword intent is the beginning of the strongest form of attack and defense a cultivator can have. Of course other weapons have intents but we of the Shen clan mainly use swords and our fists. Fist mountain however has been incorporated into Sword mountain."

"Why were they put together?"

"One of our previous elders combined the two secret techniques. Now back to the topic before. You can also be a disciple to multiple mountains."

I thought it over and figured to do only three mountains... for now.
