The Morning After

DAWN GREETED ALICE rather rudely and abruptly. Sunlight blazed on her eyelids through the glass window, causing her to stir awake. When she first regained consciousness, she thought she would feel an ache all over her body. Other than the weight on her waist and the breath on her skin, she also felt something poking her beneath the covers. A body was pressed against her back for sure, but there was something oddly intrusive that stood out from the rest of the body.

Alice's eyes shot open as she tumbled off the side of the bed, landing on the floor with a clumsy and loud thud.
