"What is that look?" His friend suddenly sharpened his eyes at him, gazing at him with intensity.

He did not like how his friend was studying him as if he saw something he did not want him to see. And it was unnerving him for some reason.

"What look?" Damon pretended to be unaware of what his friend was talking about. However, he suspected that his friend might be onto him.

He felt like ever since Jules showed up in this very room, he had never been the same. But that was not necessarily true. 

He presumed something had changed within him when he met her for the first time. And it sealed his fate that night that he had slept with her.

"That one..." Travis pointed in his face as if he had read something in his expression. "You seemed different." His friend continued, maintaining his watchful eyes on him as if he were a specimen in his experiment.
