1 "Not-so-Romantic"

As for me, Algebra has always been the most boring class. Well, I loved (yes, loved, with a d) mathematics not until letters and graphs got involved. But thanks to the lady with russet brown eyes, I managed to survive my Algebra class or else I wouldn't make it this far.

I would constantly spend the entire session goggling at her perfection. Scarlett sat just right a seat apart from me and it is exquisite for me for it gives me the privilege to have a terrific view of her. I already had a liking for her for quite too long already and nobody aside from my circle of friends seems to notice or so I thought.

On the contrary, Scarlett has the fetish for Algebra in which I really can't comprehend why 'cause no matter how much I exert effort loving the subject, I just can't. Algebra isn't really my thing.

I watched how she gracefully jot down her notes on her pastel pink notebook, how she willingly solved those problems Professor Kim wrote on the board and how broad her grin was when Professor said she got the correct answer. I dreamily looked at her. She wasn't the lady with the brightest smile but she has the capability of brightening up my entire day instantly with just one smile she puts on. It is just what I exactly need daily.

"Is there any query, class?" Professor Kim finally said.

I valiantly raised my right hand. "Yes, Jeon Hyunjae?"

I noticed my classmates turned their heads on me— and yes, Scarlett too! I cussed inwardly when her lovely eyes met mine. I gulp as I stand up from my seat. As soon as I spoke, the 4 corners of the room were instantly filled with cheers as Scarlett flushed pink.

"Lim Scarlett, can I court you?"
