In a cushioned room, the only light in it came from a giant TV that replaced one of the walls, in it, screenshots of news sites kept on changing and bullets kept on flying all over the screen. A woman that was restrained in a chair was facing the screen. Her eyes since long ago had lost their shine, and one could only see a pair of empty and glassed out eyes.
A man entered that room, he stood in between the woman and the screen and raised her chin with his fingers.
"Did you see that Nian? No one cared that you are gone and will soon to forget about you. Ah no! They will not since you are the witch that killed sooo many people with your horrible experiments."
There was a pause that looked like the tall and handsome mas was waiting for her response but the only thing that he got was silence in return.
The man pulled his hand away from her face in an abrupt manner making her head bounce down while he wiped his hand touched the dirtiest thing in the world, and the woman just kept on looking straightforward.
"Do you see all that? Those people that you loved and protected so much are the ones that now want you killed."
Seeing that he was not getting a response, the man sighed and walked towards the giant TV until it was right in front of t.
"Your head, your intelligence is something that had never seen before, so I and the company think that it would be wasted if it is just used in creating mundane things like medicine and such, and since you are so obstinate we needed to create all this play to make you see that the people that you adore so much are not worth your time"
The man turned around and saw that the woman was finally looking at him, and he grinned from ear to ear.
"Are you going to consider joining the research team to create the immortal serum? With your brain, we would be able to complete it in a maximum of 10 years and when we have that you know that having the power to rule the whole world would not be just a dream! Imagine! The word will need to
kneel in our presence since their lives could end with a simple move of our fingers~"
The man, with crazed eyes, took a step closer with each word that he said until he was right in front of her.

"What did you said? That you finally opened your eyes and realized that the rest of the humans were just scum and their only place on this earth is beneath the feet of the company?"
"HAHAHAHAHhahahHAHAHAHhahHAHAHhahahA"
The man was shocked and took a couple of steps back.
"Haa~ Just as you said, my mind is something that had not been seen before, so what gives you the courage to even phantom to control me?"
The woman voice was freezing cold. It was without any humanity left. The woman turned to look at him while all the locks and bindings in her body became undone. She cracked her bones, crossed her arms in front of her chest, raised her leg and crossed it the other, and raised her chin and tilted her head when she was looking at him.
The man stumbled in his steps and fell to the ground with a shocked expression.
"But I must admit, to all the things you said there is indeed, to my disgrace, some truth in them. I was truly naive before"
When she said that, the man began to regain his past smirk.

I was insulted, humiliated and betrayed by all humanity since none of you believed in me even though I had proof of my innocence. I had spent my 28 years of my life for the sake of humanity. I thought it was my duty to create a better place for all the living being to coexist, and I created the cure to many diseases that people thought were incurable. I FUCKING CREATED THE CURE FOR CANCER!!! AND WHAT DID I RECEIVE?!! MENTAL AND PHYSICAL TORTURE FOR YEARS AND THE DEATH OF THE ONLY ONE THAT BELIEVED IN ME!!!"
Liu Nian raised her head to look at the roof and let out a sigh.
"And you know what?"
She looked at the man on the floor that still could not understand what was happening.
"By accident, I found the way to break the time-space barrier, but the computer was unable to understand the complexity of the program needed to operate the machine, so I created an AI that would evolve continuously until it was able to understand it. I wanted to know when it, no, he would be able to get to that stage since that would mean that AI finally surpassed the need to receive a command to be able to operate, so I installed a supercomputer in my brain that is linked to him and you know what? The man's eyes glittered with greed and ambition when he heard of that, and Liu Nian was most that certain what he was thinking about, but oh, how wrong he was.

As she said that word, a beautiful smile was spread across her face but it did not reach her eyes.

After it happened there was an eerie second of complete silence in the whole world, and then, it was gone. Just like that, just as if it was done by a certain purple character of a superhero movie franchise, the whole existence disappeared what was left was the vast nothingness.
And after a second, everything was back, but 7 years in the past.
Liu Nian, with a worried face, was holding a test tube in one hand and in the other she was holding an Erlenmeyer flask ready to pur the contents inside the test tube until she suddenly stopped, and the worried face disappeared an in return a calm expression adorned her face. She put the flask down and looked at the calendar that was in front of her and it read: August 7, 21XX.
"Just in time, I would say, and here is my little baby."
She said as she looked at the test tube in her hand.
