3 Novels are a good source of inspiration

Liu Nian thought about how to change the virus so it could be harder to eradicate and more complex than just a simple mind-controlling, necrotic virus, but she could only come up with ways to make it weaker.

"All those years just thinking in ways to eradicate viruses and diseases are now making this harder for me to make this little one stronger."

Liu Nian spent the whole day on thinking of ways for her to modify the virus, but none of them was satisfactory enough for her.

"I give up. I will leave it like that and continue tomorrow since what I have right now is time."

With that in mind, Liu Nian left the laboratory like and began to walk to the employees' dormitories to sleep and maybe get an idea the next day.

"Liu Nian, you are early today? That is so not you. If I remember correctly weren't you soooo excited that you were a step away from finding the cure for cancer and that you will not come back if you don't find it, or is it that you already did?"

Liu Nian was a little shocked when she found someone inside her room. In her past life, when she discovered the cure for cancer she was ascended and the company gave her the room for herself, so it is not strange that Liu Nian forgot that she had a roommate now.

"It was a false alarm. I thought that I was near but it resulted in just a dangerous byproduct this time, but I am sure next time I will do it!"

Liu Nian knew that she needed to act like she did before to not raise suspicions and to make the situation even worse, the perception of the people living at the dorms is way higher than normal people since every single one of them was a genius in one way or another.

"Oh, that is a bummer. I am sure that you will be able to do it next time."

The girl returned to watch the TV right after she finished talking with her and Liu Nian went directly to her room.

"Let's see if I can get some kind of inspiration from the internet"

As soon as she typed out the first letters, the browser automatically showed the word "Zombie" as the most searched word.

"Ok, that was a little too easy"

However, the first result was not that the best one since it was about the traditional Chinese Zombie that was more like a frigid puppet.

"This is not much different from what I have, even though the idea of having a way to control them is not a bad one"

Liu Nian grabbed a small notepad that was in her desk and wrote down her idea of how to change the structure and a possible way to modify the virus.

She kept on surfing the internet and watched a couple of Hoilywood movies, but those were of any help since the virus was too simple and easy to eliminate, in her perspective. It was not until she reached a web novel site that got her attention.

The more she read it, the more she liked. She liked the idea of evolution. She liked the idea of freedom in what something could possibly get to on their own and to see the process of it.

With the idea of evolution instead of just staying on the same stage.

That night Liu Nian stayed up all night thinking of a way to mix her previous diagram with her current idea.

Time goes fast when one is so focused on something. A week passed before Liu Nian got out of her room, but she finally had a possible structure that might work, the only thing left is to see if it can actually be done.

Once she arrived at the main building of Xinguang Laboratories, she went directly to the nurse's office.

"Good morning, a week shot, please"

"Yeah yeah. Here, you can put it yourself, right? I cannot understand your kind. Y'know that humans will die if they don't eat, drink or sleep for a week, but you all are just are just monsters"

The last two sentences were said more to herself than to Liu Nian, but she didn't care since she was already used to that kind of treatment.

Liu Nian injected her with a shot that was rich in vitamins, minerals, and calories that her body need to replenish the ones that she burned last week.

"Thank you, bye"

Lian Nian left as fast as she entered. She walked through the long hallways of the building thinking of what perspective to take at the time to change the composition of some elements. From her peripherical vision, she could see her fellow companion passing through, and like in the past, none of them would walk and walk to her; they would just talk about her behind her back.

Once she entered her lab, she just focused on her notes and how to implement her ideas or to do see how it would react to her changes.
