15 Chapter 15: Dreaded Forest

Deeper on the way, Alex saw the aftermath he made when he first arrive at this place. He thought 'I miss this strength.. damn this system nerfing me, all for the sake of this handsome protagonist's character development..'

Alex grumbled along the way, looking for beasts to hunt. Finally, he spotted a somewhat cute pig-like beast with thorns on it's back.

"Beastling? Is there even a word like that..? So it's like equivalent to a peak stage Human Immortal.. I think I can do it."

Hiding a bush, he saw the beast munching on the grasses with multiple colored small fruits, as the information on it was shown to Alex.

'Fuck, that's so many points, even if it's one point each, that many can net me almost a thousand and this pig is munching it like pig food just like that..'

Running swiftly, he strongly kicked the blissfully eating beast like a soccerball from it's meaty side. The force of the kick blasted the pig to a nearby tree, cutting it in the process. The pig roared in pain, as it stood staggeringly looking at it's attacker with eyes full of hatred.

Alex look at it as he began approaching it slowly and vigilantly. The two were on a staredown for about a minute before the beast initiated the attack. The attack was, of course expected by Alex as he saw it's status interface.

<Thorny Spikes>!

The pig squirmed and let loose a barrage of sharp thorns from it's back, aiming at it's shameless attacker.

Swiftly dodging each spikes, he ran around the terrain as slowly he neared the boar. He thought 'How the fuck can it release almost infinte barrage of this spikes!?' due to his wandering thoughts, he was scraped from his cheeks where his blood slowly dripped.

The beast stopped it's barrage as it staggered more, like feeling a weakness after using it's ultimate, also due to it's caved in belly where it was kicked. It stood shakingly across more or less 10 meters, as it vigilantly looked at him.

Alex saw this opportunity as he dashed madly, preparing to attack an ending blow to the beast. Suddenly, he saw the beast became lively again as a barrage of spikes hurled directly on his way. The attack was so sudden that due to their close location to each other, the attack arrived almost instantly aiming at his most vital parts.

'This cunning beast..!' with no other choice, Alex used his bloodline skill, <Breath of the Primals> as his body bulged and red streams of air began to be released from his body. Time also slowed down, as his passive skill <Time Dilation> was activated.

Boosting his power by 2 stages, he punched the barrage of spikes forcefully with all his might. The punch also activated the passive <Momentum Strike> as a vaccuum resulted where the spikes on it's path was turned to dust instantly.

The beast on the other hand, was nowhere to be found, as the only thing that was left on it's place was a huge crater that paved all the way to the edge of the forest.

Alex breathed out as his muscles was still bulging from the buffs. He thought 'There goes my money, all turned to air, fuck..!'

Grumbling inside, he almost felt crying when he heard several notifications from Icy.

He began calculating the total hours for the next stage, with a conclusion of 16 or so hours. He found it slow, to his dismay, as his original strength was about 5 or so levels higher comparing to his current strength. That's about 20 or so stages!

He knows that the higher stages, the lower percentage of exp will be, as he analyzed it's arithmetics. From the morning of his rebirth, he spent about 5-6 hours from low stage to mid stage of human immortal. If his total exp was just like now which is 1000, then the percentage of increase he got per minute was 0.33%-0.4%.

"Man, luckily there is now levelling function.. with that speed it would take me months, or even a year just to return to my original strength."

From his battle with the Lightsword Goddess in the past, he analyzed his his strength somewhere in between Immortal Sovereign (Supreme Rulers) to Half-deity (Demigods). With the help of the book he found from the library, he saw the information about the power levels and the lists of rankers.

Ranked 121st on the [Demigods' Ranking] book, he was shocked to his core. The book contained 500 names on it, making the Lightborn Goddess insanely strong, as she was nearing the top 100 half-deities of this world.

'With my past strength, forget about a Supreme Ruler, I was a Demigod! For fucks sake. I'm maybe at the top 100 of this world.. *sigh well no more regretting, what's done is done. But why can't I find information about my bloodline here? Maybe there would be some at the imperial capital's library, I'll try to look into it later.'

The book he got, which named [Elementary Bloodline Rankings] only have list of bloodlines with rarity of up to <Mythical> class. He wondered how strong his <Celestial> bloodline is.

He gathered his thoughts, as he looked at the remaining duration of his active bloodline skill. He only have 30 or so minutes left from the one hour duration of the skill

'I've got to make most of it's time' Alex thought as he began rushing for other places with peak beastlings and early Earthen beasts.

Looking around, he found a huge beast with a two snake head, sharp tail and blue spots around it's 9 meter long yellow body. It was guarding a tree with a singular fruit that shaped like a pear. It was undulating small streaks of immortal essence as it's body was slowly turning from green to golden as time passes.

Standing above a tree about 200 meters away from the snake and the fruit, Alex excitedly made his preparations, as he drank one of his 5 deceptive liquids and slowly flew directly towards the two.
