13 Chapter 13: Restaurant

"THE XIAO YOUNG MASTER HAS ARRIVED!"

Looking downwards, he saw an overly dressed pretty boy walking directly with the receptionist in tow. Like a parade for kings, he was escorted by strong looking guards with stern and strict expressions as conversations explode on the first floors.

The lady receptionist, on the other hand, whispered something to him as she hurriedly approached Alex sitting on the formerly empty table. With a deep bow, she apologetically said to Alex.

"Esteemed young master, it was my utmost mistake to assign this table as empty, as it was already reserved beforehand by young master Xiao Feng here. Please hand this seat to the young master. As a compensation, we will hand you a VIP card and all the expenses for the food you ordered will be on us."

'Damn, there goes my happy eating mood. Fuck this overly used troupe.' Alex cursed silently as he looked at the receptionist and Xiao Feng. He was about to answer when he heard a notification from Icy.

Alex became dumbfounded as he saw the mission. On the other hand, Xiao Feng on the back took his silence as a rejection. He walked slowly and looked at Alex smilingly as he said

"No need for that, it's unnecessary. Hello there, friend, this humble self is called Xiao Feng. May I know the name of this brother?"

"Alex." Alex was awoken up from his stupor as he nodded and replied to the still smiling Xiao Feng to which the young master continued

"Oh, so it's brother Alex. I'll be frank to brother, I will not take this whole table for myself as it would get lonely sitting alone. Seeing as we click as friends, how about we share the table? I hope brother Alex won't mind my discourtesy."

'Fuck this peasant, getting in my way to my pursuit of my love for Xiaoyu'er. I'll get the guards later to kill this piece of trash.' Xiao Feng thought as a glint flashed through his eyes and hurriedly hid it beneath his enchanting smile.

Alex on the other hand, thought differently 'Wow, I've had it differently. I thought like those novels he will flaunt his power and wealth and shit and forcefully kick me out of this place. This one's handling his emotions really good, like a veteran on this.. still, he can't hide that venomous eyes of his from me.'

"No problem, brother Feng, I don't mind. This seat is also that wide, I can't occupy it all alone. It's good to have someone to talk with." he said as he returned a cordial smile to Xiao Feng

"Thank you brother, since we click with each other, please let me treat you on this. Waiter, I order all the most expensive foods on the menu."

Xiao Feng laughingly said as he ordered the dishes. He thought 'Savor your last lunch, peasant.'

"I won't be polite then, brother!" Alex also laughed as he also thought 'A free lunch from a rich man, huh? Well, let's see how it goes..'

The crowd looked at them in shock, especially on the Xiao young master as they began hushing with themselves.

'That arrogant and prideful young master Xiao Feng shared a table with someone?'

'Could it be, a man with a strong background? But with his clothes..'

The food arrived and without reservations, Alex eat like a hurricane sweeping the houses like flies. Xiao Feng looked at him with disdain yet still having that smiling face. Lin Xiaoyu chuckled looking at the comical sight.

Xiao Feng noticed it as he began to feel rage from his heart, but his appearance calm as he greeted Lin Xiaoyu with flattery and a hint of infatuation.

"I didn't know that one of the three most beautiful girl in the city was here just sitting right beside me. Please forgive me for my imprudence, miss Xiaoyu."

"You don't have to be so polite, young master Xiao Feng. I'm just here to relax myself from the boring and tiresome cultivation."

Lin Xiaoyu answered neither subservient nor overbearing, as she asked "The young master beside you is..?"

"Alex." Before Xiao Feng could talk, Alex replied to her with a mouth still full of food. Feeling an angry gaze, he knows the pantsy boy is getting angry. 'Well, I think I'm already full, and also this little fag could no longer bear to bare his cute little fangs on me.'

Alex stood up abruptly, not minding the stares being directed at him, as he calmly looked at Xiao Feng and said in a flattering way

"Thank you for such a wonderful treat, Brother Feng. This is honestly the most extravagant lunch I have ever eaten! But all good things must come to an end, as such, I will be regretfully ending my happy company with Brother Feng. Since I still have something to do, I'll be rude to the good brother and take my leave for now."

"No worries, my brother, if you have free time, come visit our mansion not far from here. I will be a proper host by then. Please be careful on your way, brother!" Xiao Feng replied, with a smile as he saw Alex nodding at him and went down the stairs.

Xiao Feng beckoned a guard at his back and whispered something, to which the guard nodded and also went down the stairs.

Lin Xiaoyu saw it all, and calmly said "Probing?"

"Hmm, so so.. That kid oozes suspiciousness from head to toe. Right, did you find out his level? I can't seem to read him."

Xiao Feng replied to her with his eyes staring right back at hers, still with that infatuated look.

Lin Xiaoyu chuckled and said "Even with my True Sight, not a single thread of essence is detected from him. I begin to feel like he's someone not to offend, given also his temperament."

"Well, we will know after this.."

What they didn't know is that with that passive skill of his, any kinds of sensing techniques are automatically blocked. That kind of overpowered!

"With the strength of my family and yours, who would dare to offend us in this city? That's why I ordered a guard to inform uncle Jin to monitor that kid, lest he run amok on this city, thus harming our families influence. And if he ever finds him a big threat to us.."

With an action of a slit throat Xiao Feng laughed and continued to talk with her, not knowing the big mess he will make for his family.

Lin Xiaoyu, on the other hand, still on her thoughts, not answering the prideful statement of Xiao Feng. 'I can't help but think something's wrong here..'

Alex calmly walked as he thought in his mind 'Do they really think of me as a gullible airhead?' as he recalled what he had seen on their status interface.

Alex thought and entered the inn. Little did he know that his guess was right on the spot, as a black shadow squirmed from outside the inn's dark alley which then formed into that guard ordered by Xiao Feng.
