11 Chapter 11: I'm rich!

Stuttering, the masked man trembled slightly and said to Alex

"E-esteemed master, may I know why so? I p-promise I will never ever tell anyone even on my g-grave! For the p-price, don't worry as I will give all my best treasures for your satisfaction."

Still with lingering fear, the masked man look at him with utmost respect and patience. An esteemed master appraiser with Supreme Immortal strength? He knows that just by a single appraisal of this man will net him wealth more than a hundred times of his total assets in his whole lifetime.

"Alright, alright.." Alex hurriedly replied to the masked man on the verge of tears, begging him like a hungry dog on the streets. He mistook the masked man's plea as fear of being hunted, unknown to him that he's the real reason for his fears.

'This man must have staken his all, just for acquiring this treasure, or it was a gift to him by his deceased father, or even his passed beautiful wife.' Alex nodded like a 'know-it-all' man as he began to fantasize about the circumstances of the masked man.

"This item is called Dagger of Darkness, a supreme treasure of the ancient times owned by the leader of the archaic beast tribe Darkthorne, Brax. Due to the 'War of the Ancients', the tribe was wiped out, leaving Brax fending for his life. As he was nearing his death, he buried his weapon under the lowest depths of the forbidden zone, the Hundred Moving Island's Deep Dragon Ocean.." he began to storytell the origins of the treasure like he was there, as if he's not reading it on the description of the item shown by the system, Icy.

"I don't know how you unearthed this, but due to passage of time, this treasure already became wasted, unless you have the materials for it's restoration, this weapon is as good as trash.."

"Also, this was the one thing I've warned you, since it is a cursed item, Brax's descendants, if there are still alive, will hunt you down to their fullest once you restored it's original powers. The aura and it's archaic breath will be visible to those of Darkthorne tribesmen, making you their target."

The masked man, already numbed from listening, was awoken up as Alex finished his piece of storytelling. He trembled violently, as he began to fear for his safety.

Archaic beasts!

Brax of the Darkthorne tribe!

War of the Ancients!

As a descendant of a half-deity, the peak powers of the world, he knew the history by reading the books from their main family's repository. The era of deities! Where even Immortal Emperors like him are worse than ants.

Of course, he have heard about this artifact, as the books mentioned all of the treasures that are missing from the war, especially a supreme treasure like Brax's.

The masked man, again, stuttered, even more frequently, as his body began shaking violently.

"W-w-what s-shall I d-do!?"

"Either give that treasure to your ancestor, or, lend it to me. Since it's already wasted, restoring it with the materials would only make it costly. And even if you managed to repair it, could your family hold on to the wrath of the Darkthorne tribe descendants?"

As for me, I will take it as a research material for my other discoveries. As a wandering appraiser, all I want to do is discover things related to this world's history. Please decide wisely."

Alex began to lie to the masked man with a straight face and convince him like a swindler.

'That's a red item for damn sake! I've got to get it no matter what.. Even if I couldn't repair it, I'll sell it. I can already see those points.. hehehe' even with rash and greedy thoughts, he still kept his outward appearance calm and ethereal like a saint.

The masked man, calmed himself down after knowing that only by repairing the item will he be known to have acquired this unparalleled treasure, which to Alex, was bad news.

"I thank the esteemed master for the guidance. I found it by chance on a small auction house where they auctioned this item for a small amount of spirit crystals, and bought it as it looks interesting to me."

So I'll just keep it as a keepsake, that in my lifetime, I found a supreme treasure of the ancestral era even if it's broken."

'Fuck, he found a loophole! Well, yeah who the heck would give that item to a stranger after knowing it's value! I'm so fucking dumb! Ah shit!'

Even after cursing multiple times inside his heart, he has still shown a calm understanding face to the masked man. Since his powers was rebooted, he had no other choice but to leave regretfully. He has no chance contending with an Immortal Emperors as of now.

"Alright, if that's what you have decided, then I'll be going now." due to his anger, he forgot to even ask about his pay.

Luckily, the masked man misunderstood his intentions as he hurriedly said

"Wait a moment, esteemed master, this may be a small amount for you but I hope my intentions of fellowship will reach to you." as he handed a storage ring

Alex nodded slightly as if uninterested of what's the contents of the ring as he hurriedly left after receiving it.

The masked man, still saluting, then looked at the exit of the formation where Alex went and said with fear

"His disguise of being a normal human immortal is really scary. Luckily, I didn't offend him thoroughly."

"Father, please don't be shocked with my discovery today.." the masked man muttered as he removed the formation, revealing a handsome face with features similar to Aslan, the Golden Cloud Palace Lord.

Without knowing, Alex dejectedly left, still thinking about the red item he nearly got. Collecting his emotions, he looked at the ring on his hand.

"Let's see what that prince, Aztel got..

Fuck! I'm rich!"

When he looked at the numbers he got from Icy, he immediately shouted, dumbfounding the people around him as he hurriedly walked away.

Since he was in a secluded alley, most people that heard him are notorious junkies, as they immediately surrounded him with greed looking eyes scanning him from top to bottom.

"Hey hey hey, what you got there, kid?"

"Mind sharing with us?"

"Hehehe"

The crooks, all with human immortal strengths, began cornering him in the dark corner of the alley. Thinking about the [Deception Liquid] still having 3 or so minutes of activation left, he became confident as he scare them away with his aura

"Fuck off"

The throwaway extras all ran for their lives, as they sensed the aura stronger than all of them.

With that brief interlude, Alex kept walking through the city as he found an inn to stay for the night. It was in a crowded street with more hawkers and customers than what he saw near the border gates as he first entered the city.

Walking inside, the sight that greeted his eyes was the complete opposite, a very quiet environment. He approached the only person inside the inn as he told her.

"How much for a night's stay?" Alex asked the old grandma on the reception desk.

"It's 3 high grade spirit stones, young lad." replied weakly by the elderly woman as she began to rummage for the keys for the rooms above.

Handing one of it, with a number of 3, Alex also paid for his stay, using Aztel's spirit stone of course.

"I'll check in for 10 days." As he put 3 superior grade spirit stones on the desk.

Entering his room, he slowly looked around. A simple bed in a cubicle room with a single window. And at last, a mirror, just beside a desk drawer with a lamp on top.

Walking towards the mirror, he began to check himself. What he saw astounded him. A well chiseled face with thick brows, proportioned nose and small lips. Eyes with a tint of laziness, yet also sharp. Medium build, lean but strong muscles, with abs and short neat hair.

'WHO THE FUCK IS THIS PRETTY BOY!?'
