4 Complement

Feng Rou walked with small steps as she made her way back to the clan. She thought of Wei Jin and the words he had said today about her dress. She had picked a better one today, because she knew her mother always dressed better when she was meeting people she was acquainted with.

Thinking back to their talk she was smiles the whole way back to the gate.

If Wei Jin was to see that gate to the clan that Feng Rou was going into he would be gob smacked with how magnificent it was. Being about double the size of the Wei clans gate, it gave off a majestic feeling and lead to a huge area.

The clan that she had just entered was for sure more prominent than the Wei clan. The gate keeper gave a respectful bow as Feng Rou moved passed and she gave him a small nod back. It also seemed that Feng Rou was the child of someone very important.

She walked around for a little bit before going right into the majestic main building of the clan. As she made it into the main building the same black figure from before materialized turned his head in a certain direction and gave a deep bow.

A gust of wind flowed by and the figure shook before dashing off in a slightly different direction.

Making her way in, she saw her mother sitting drinking a cup of tea and relaxing. She sped up as she saw her and dived into her embrace. She was very skilled and seemed to have come across this behavior before as the drink in her hand didn't shake or spill a drop.

She placed the beautiful cup down and then started to ruffle Feng Rou hair. Feng Rou giggled happily before the woman started to talk. She looked exactly like the grown up version of Feng Rou with hair that cascaded down her back and had a gloss to it.

She had an elegant body with big eyes and soft lips. She looked like a fairy as she smiled down at Feng Rou.

"What's got you so happy Rou'er?"

Feng Rou continued to giggle as she looked up at her mother.

"I made a friend mom!"

She was very excited about making a new friend and it showed through her happy voice.

Mother Feng was surprised as she had no clue who this new friend was.

"When did you meet this new friend?"

"Yesterday."

She had seen her daughter happy yesterday, but had chalked it up to being able to leave the clan for the first time. But it seemed that she had made a friend in the time that she was out. She wasn't too worried about who the new friend was, her husband had sent an escort out with Rou'er to make sure she was safe.

They may have gone with the practice that the child should be able to become semi-independent at the age of 3, but they were still careful, his position was just too important, that something could possibly happen.

The escort would have killed any person with bad intentions towards her little girl.

Having this thought go through her head, she relaxed her tension and continued to talk to Feng Rou, she wanted to know all about this new friend of hers. Happy to talk about it, Feng Rou started to talk to her mother.

In a different corner of the clan a refined gentle man was sitting down in an enclosed room. No sound would come from outside or could get outside in this room, it was specifically built for private conversations, and was used from time to time.

"So what happened when my daughter went outside the clan? Why was her dress dirty yesterday? Did something happen!"

His voice turned strict as he thought back to his daughter being pushed to the ground or something happening to her. He was a very over protective father and had told the escort to make sure nothing happened to her.

It was bought up by his wife today when she sent the cloths to be washed that it had been dirtied.

As Feng Rou had already left the clan by then he almost exploded with rage with his thoughts running wild. Only because his wife had persuaded him not to ruin Feng Rou day and the fact that the escort was a very trusted retainer, he didn't go to look for her right then and there.

But that still did not address his concerns in total and once the black clothed figure had come back to the clan with his daughter he had immediately summoned him. He wanted an explanation now.

He didn't even realize that his immense aura had permeated around the room and was bearing down on the figure in front of him.

The black figure was shaking under the pressure of his ruler and quickly reported what had happened the day before and today.

"A new friend? A boy?"

He rubbed his chin as he thought of the new development and finally cooled down a bit. It was good for his daughter to have a friend. Though he thought it would be better for her to have a girl as a friend not a boy , he wouldn't interfere with his own daughters first friendship. But that did depend on the boy in question.

"What's his background?"

He might have gotten angry if the black figure had replied that he didn't know, but he had been in the clan for years and knew what should and shouldn't be done. Right after the young miss had become friends and started talking with the boy he had sent people to look into his background.

Having heard his name from their talks it had been easy to find out where he came from and who he was. Calming his mind as the pressure had finally disappeared and organizing his thoughts he started his report.

"Wei Jin, of the minor Wei clan. His Mother is Wei Xue an elder of teaching in the clan. His father is Wei Xiong, also an elder in the clan. His great grand uncle is patriarch of the clan, who is only at the early gold core stage."

The Father mulled over the contents for a minute before asking another question.

"Has their clan any enmity with us?"

The black figure bowed even lower and said in a slightly arrogant tone.

"How could they dare my lord! Even if they wanted to they wouldn't be able to stay in the city if they were against us. No they are amicable with nearly all clans around them, and get along well with us and the others."

He considered his words and decided that it would be fine; he wouldn't pose a threat to his daughter.

"Ok, but keep me informed on their situation and if they do anything suspicious."

"Yes patriarch!"

The black figure bowed before he was let go and the father thought for another few minutes. He then looked in the direction of where Feng Rou and mother Feng were staying and had a slight smile on his face.

He got up slowly and disappeared from his position to just outside the door. Just as he was about to open the door and surprise them he heard his daughter talking about her new friend with his wife.

"Right mother, when he was talking to me today he said ummm."

It took her a little to get the right words in her head before she continued.

"Right 'You look stunning.' And I know what that means; father says that to you all the time. But then he said 'Your skin is as fair as Jade and your eyes as clear as water' I didn't understand some of what he was saying and wanted to ask you. I know he was complementing me though."

She flashed her mother a smile as she repeated what Wei Jin had said and looked up at her face.

Mother Feng's face had completely frozen in shock when she heard the exact words that this young boy had said.

They hell, you learn those type of phrases at this age???

Father Feng who was also about to open the door was also completely frozen as he overheard his daughter. His hand was stuck half way reaching out towards the door, as he thought to himself.

The hell, this boy might really be dangerous for my daughter!
