18 Retaliation

Ji-a and Qing ignored her and went their ways. After a few minutes, "May I have your attention everybody?" It was Qi Hualing.

Everyone turned towards the stage.

"Today, I would like to thank somebody in front of everyone." The people present were curious to what that little actress was doing.

"What do you think she's doing? She is not planning to humiliate herself, is she?" Qing asked to Ji-a.

"I wish it was that." Ji-a said calmly sipping on a glass of warm water.

"The person I would like to thank is the one and only, Zhang Ji-a." and Hualing looked at Ji-a's direction. Not many people knew about Ji-a so they were all curious about her.

"I fell in love with Wei Cheng 3 years ago. At that time, my Cheng was dating Miss Zhang Ji-a. So, I couldn't do a thing about it. Gradually, Cheng also began to have feelings for me and we told Miss Zhang Ji-a about our relationship. I was afraid that I would be beaten to death by Miss Zhang but instead she gladly gave up on him. I don't really think Miss Ji-a love Cheng, so she gave him to me. Wei Cheng really wanted to pull Hualing off the stage but he couldn't do it since there were so many people. Guang Li Yi, Jun Yi Feng and Yang Lian who were together near the stage witnessed this. "I just love it when people make a fool out of themselves." said Lian with a resting bitch face.

The crowd all looked towards Ji-a's direction. If she didn't do anything, that Hualing will not know when to stop. Ji-a smiled and went up the stage elegantly. Men and women present there were mesmerised by her beauty.

Leonore Hughes, Ye Peter's wife also arrived by then. She also saw Ji-a walking up the stage.

Ji-a went up the stage, took the mic from Hualing's side kick and said, "Miss Qi, are you going to skip the part where you and Mr. Wei Cheng cheated?"

The crowd murmured amongst themselves.

"Hmmm. I really didn't want to do this." said Ji-a.

Hualing's side kick knew that Hualing was going to lose face so she added . "Miss Zhang, to make it fair to you both, why we have a battle of some sort?"

Ji-a laughed lightly and said, "Excuse me, miss. But this is banquet. Not our playground."

Guang Li Yi was getting tired of Hualing so he came up the stage, sat on the chair and said, "Ji, do it. Show them. I don't think Mr. Ye would mind."

Ye Peter also came up the stage, sat next to Guang Li Yi and said, "I wouldn't mind. Please show them, Miss Zhang. I don't want unnecessary people picking on my people."

"Then, let's do a rap battle." It was Hualing who spoke this time.

The crowd was even more aroused.

"Miss Zhang and Miss Xu Li-Na can pair up against me." added Hualing, acting all confident.

The people were are murmuring.

"This girl really got some nerves."

"She actually challenged Xu Li-Na."

"I have never heard Xu Li-Na rap before."

"This is gonna be interesting."

Hualing thought that she could easily beat Ji-a in singing in rapping, if not others. Little did she know that Ji-a can actually rap like a pro. Had it been singing, Ji-a would have easily surrendered because that was her weak point.

Xu Li-Na came up the stage and said "I don't need to chip in. Ji-a can handle it alone." and sat on a chair second to Guang Li Yi's chair leaving the chair next to Guang Li Yi for Ji-a.

"Everyone, I don't want anyone to film this." said Ji-a to the crowd.

The beatbox started and Ji-a took her seat. No one bothered about Hualing. Wei Cheng was embarrassed to death.

Hualing started first.
