16 Fourth Encounter

Ji-a and Xu Li-Na headed for Daffodils. Daffodils was a luxury brand mall where all high-class dresses, handbags, watches, tuxedos, shoes, everything were sold.

They arrived at the mall and headed towards the floor dealing with dresses. Everyone knew Xu Li-Na as she was a famous idol. Although, they don't know much about Ji-a, they treated her with the same respect because she frequented the place. An employee walked up to them and bowed to them, "Misses, is there anything in particular you would like or may I suggest the newly arrived pieces?"

"We would like see some dresses. Ji, any color you would like?"

"I'd like to see in maroon, black and lime yellow." said Ji-a.

"I'd like mine in red." added Li-Na.

"I'll bring them right away. Please be seated." and the employee ran off.

Meanwhile, Ji-a's phone rang and it was Ye Peter's assistant. "Hello, Zhang Ji-a speaking."

"Hello Miss Ji-a. The company and LS Corporation are organising a banquet this evening at 6 at East Hall. The CEO had specifically asked for you."

"Please tell Mr. Ye that I'll be there."

"Thank you, Miss Zhang. I'll convey the message to Mr. Ye."

The employee returned with a maroon backless gown falling upto the ankle. The black had small, beautiful details with bright yellow. It was sleeveless and had a V-shaped neckline which allowed a little cleavage to be shown. It had a mermaid-tail like design. The lime yellow was an off-shoulder dress with long sleeves. Ji-a chose the black dress and it complimented her small waist.

Xu Li-Na's dress was no less. It was blood red cold-shoulder dress with deep V-shaped neckline. It had a one-sided slit from mid-thigh and complimented her long, slender legs.

They chose the jewellery sets and shoes along with matching bags and headed out.

"Let's get ready at your house. I'll call over my makeup artistes." said Li-Na.

"Let's buy something to eat. I didn't even finish eating my lunch."

"Alright, Miss Glutton."

They brought some steamed buns on their way home and ate them as soon as they reached home and drank some coffee.

"I'll go wash up first. It will be quick." said Ji-a to Li-Na.

"Be Quick."

Ji-a came out 15 minutes later and Li-Na went in for a shower. By the time Li-Na finished, the makeup artists were already there.

Ji-a sent a message to their group chat. "Qing, Lian how's preparations going?"

Qing replied after a few minutes, "We're doing alright. I'm with Lian. Is Li-Na there with you?"

"Yeah, she's with me. Let's meet later. Bye."

By 5 pm, everything was complete. Ji-a's hair was done in a half updo way with soft curls. The red lipstick looked great on her and her eye makeup was on point. Her dress showing her cleavage made her look extra sexy. Her slender neck had a pearl necklace and her ears had pairing pearl earrings. There was also a pearl ring on her left ring finger. She wasn't a fan of high heels so she only wore a two-inches long black heels.

Li-Na's rose-gold hair was straight falling on her back. She had smoky-eyes with nude lipstick. She wore a six-inches long heels. Her off-shoulder dress showed her collabones and she didn't have any necklace. She had long earrings falling on her shoulders.

When they arrived at East Hall, Jun Yi Feng was already at the entrance waiting for them. Li-Na and Ji-a followed him into the hall were a soft music was played. The girls could feel gazes. Not only the girls, Yi Feng also felt gazes. He was extraordinarily handsome. He wore a black suit complimenting his lean, toned body. Jun Yi Feng took them where all the others were.

"My girls are so pretty today. I'll be having a hard time protecting you all." joked Zhu Dan.

"Dan, we're you hiding all this while?" pouted Li-Na.

"No, I was busy."

"I want ice cream." Ji-a said, imitating a baby voice.

"Girl, can you not think about food at least once?"said Li-Na.

" No." whined Ji-a.

" Baby girl, just wait for sometime alright. " said Guang Li Yi.

Ji-a nodded.

" Mr. Guang Li Yi. " They heard a voice from behind and there was Ye Peter with his son, Ye Jin.

" Mr. Ye." Guang Li Yi and Ye Peter shook their hands.

"Please enjoy. I'll go meet the other guests. Miss Zhang, thanks for coming " said Ye Peter.

"It's an honor,Mr. Ye." Ji-a and Peter were about to shake hands when Jin stopped his father. "Dad you shouldn't shake hands with ladies."

"Whatever." Then, turning to Guang and his party he said, " The ceremony will start shortly, Mr Guang, Miss Zhang. I'm sorry for the inconvenience."

"It's alright." said Guang Li Yi.

"I'll go check around then." and he turned to leave.

However, Ye Jin did not leave. He turned to Ji-a and said. "Is it fate that we run into each other so frequently?"
