17 Academy Life - 7
"I'm beat, this training is hellish."
"Yeah! I nearly vomited two times already."
The students chatted with one another while dispersing to head for dinner.
"Hey! HEY!! ARTHUR!!!!" Charlotte yelled. She worked her little feet to approach Arthur, while he just ignored her after the class ended. Arthur tried hard not to listen and kept walking away through the long undergrounds tunnel corridor.
"ARTHUR!! HEY!!" Charlotte yelled, louder this time.
The students near them stared, especially the boys that had a crush on her, they just grinded their teeth and envied Arthur being chased by their idols. Arthur noticed the glare and the death stare, he took a breath and pick up his pace.
"ARTHURRR!!!!" She also picked up her pace, she shouted and the echoes just traveled through the tunnels.
He can't take it anymore, he was annoyed and embarrassed at the same time. He turned his body and faced the petite beauty.
Charlotte saw the motion and a smile blossomed in her face.
"WHAT!" He asked with an irritated face.
"Hehe...Nothing. I just want to have a dinner with you that's all." She giggled and said with a wide smile revealing her canine teeth that would add extra points in her cuteness.
Arthur just facepalmed at the response, he sighed and said, "Sure! Just. Don't yell my name...*Sigh*...It's just, embarrassing."
The two walked side by side and looked like a couple, everytime they passed other students in their way to the dining hall, it would just bring envy and amazement towards the two. Both of their looks complement each other, and the two was so dazzling they look like deities.
"Oh! Right, you don't know my name right?" Charlotte asked she remembered that this was their first proper time they interacted with each other, minus the hostility.
"I know. I'm in the same class with you before, and you introduced yourself in there." Arthur replied.
Charlotte face turned to sour, "You're dumb, aren't you?" She pouted her lips, and scolded, "Do you ever know how to treat a girl that asked you a question, stupid!"
"Hey! That's rude, and didn't you hear that I'm responding clearly and rationally to your question. And what more can you ask?" Arthur glared. To be honest, his words do makes sense, but that's not what a woman's want to hear.
She sighed and just gave up, "You're hopeless...You need more lessons on that." Sympathy filled her voice.
"Whatever!" Arthur said, ending the conversation.

Sounds of munching can be heard from the distance, Arthur and Charlotte finally arrived at the dining hall. The place was huge, covered with paintings and intricate architectural designs on the ceilings, the atmosphere was quite relaxing with the yellow ambiance from the electric chandelier. From the tables, there was students and even professors mingled with each other, trying to escape from their hectic lives and just rest with a full stomach.
Arthur once more amazed, and stood in his place. Suddenly he felt that Charlotte tugged his sleeves, he turned his eyes towards her.
"Don't just stand there! Lead the way! We're blocking the entrance." She whispered, not to disturbed the others.
Arthur was startled, he let out an empty laugh, apologize and walked towards the counter to pick up his food. Charlotte that stand's beside him just watched the whole scene and let out a small giggle.

At the counter, Arthur just drooled at the sight. The food there was fantastic, the aroma, presentation, and freshness. He grabbed everything he can find starting from chicken, ribs, and especially the steak. Charlotte was shocked, but she didn't let out any remarks, because she finds the situation was rather cute.
Arthur gobbled the food on his trays, he let out a blissful smile. His empty stomach finally has something to burn. Once in a while he glanced at Charlotte and see her trays still full, he was puzzled and said, "You're not eating?"
Charlotte with her two hands on her cheeks, just smiled while looking at how Arthur's gobbling his food. She heard the question and said, "Later. I'm just happy to see you eat so voraciously."
"O-okay..." He replied.
With the drumsticks on his hands, he thought, 'What a weird girl...How can her moods change so fast? Just before she was angry at me, and now here she is, smiling...I can't predict her at all...' While at the same time munched on his drumsticks.
Satisfied looking at Arthur, she then proceeds to grab her silverware and began to eat. Her table manner was perfect, and she eats gracefully. Compared to him, it was like looking at two different spectrum, the beauty, and the caveman.
"ARTHUR!!!!"
He nearly choked when he heard the voice. The familiar voice of someone that he thinks too cheerful, too friendly and annoying at the same time. As if Charlotte was not enough of a headache, then this voice came. He just shook his head and buried his head on his food, trying to ignore it.
Charlotte heard the voice too and perked her heads towards the direction. A young man with long black hair that covers half of his face. She also saw that he was running towards them and thought maybe this was Arthur friends, but when she looked at him ignoring the yell, she just giggled and continued to eat his dinner.
BAM!
"Here you are haha! You just left without saying anything and I thought you're missing or something haha!" Leo said while smacking Arthur's back.
Arthur choked on his food by the sudden attack, he smacked his chest to relieve his throat. He glared at Leo and said, "Leo! Can't you see I'm eating here, I nearly choked to death there."
"Haha! I'm sorry, I'm just excited that's all." Leo apologized.
Charlotte saw the two and let out a giggle again, she thought that this was her first time ever to let out that many giggles.
Leo saw her eating in front of Arthur and moved his elbow to tug Arthur's hands, he whispered, "Who is she? Don't tell me you have a girlfriend already? Nice!"
Cough, cough
He choked again, his poor throat was the innocent bystander but became the victim once again, he gulped the whole glass of water beside his food.
A smile crept up on her cheeks after she heard the whisper, and said, "Yes. I'm Arthur's girlfriend, the name Charlotte, Charlotte Eclair, nice to meet you."
Startled Leo looked at her, he heard her statements and with a smile introduced himself, "Ah! You're really Arthur girlfriend! I'm his friend, Leonard Ramirez, just call me Leo, and please take care of Arthur." He said with sincerity.
Arthur shocked by the conversations, and choked again by the water that he gulped, thrice his throat has been violated; Blood rushed to his head, making his fair complexion a bit red. He stuttered, "Wha-wh- No! We just met today!"
Charlotte let out a hearty laugh, "It's so much fun teasing you!"
In her minds, this was the best day of her entire life. Having a normal conversation, without thinking anything about her image or even her social standing. The dinner was filled with laughter and useless banter, the atmosphere was heartwarming, bringing the trio closer to their newfound friendship.

His dorm was dark and the only source of lighting was the waning moonlight that drifted through the clouds. At last, he arrived at his room, with his tired body he flipped the switch to light his room up. His room was quite messy to look at, this was mainly caused by the box that held his academy uniform and his brown coat that was placed on the floor.
He sighed at the sight and proceeds to clean it up. The cleaning didn't take a long time, only a couple of minutes of organizing stuff. 'What a day...' He thought and slammed his body towards his bed. Lying down he reached his pockets to grab the smartphone.
The device lit up and showed the menu with one new word added to it, the user progress tool just below pairing device. 'Hmm...Let's check my progress first...' His finger touched the screen.

Fighting and studying huh, but this thing didn't even show what my progress is, it just shows how many points it will yield *sigh*...Well aside from the description everything else is useless I guess...' Arthur thought and returned to the menu. 'What's next...Status maybe...' His finger tapped the User Status.

Arthur was impressed by its practicality, and thought, 'Wow...This device is incredible...But, who should I contact first...The old man?...No, absolutely not. He would just scold me if I called at this hour— Annie? Probably she's having dinner now. It's five hours difference from here and America— Elizabeth? She would kill me if I contacted her first— Jack...Probably asleep, Nepal is four hours ahead— Robert! Yes, Robert!'

Arthur was stunned by the voice that comes out from the device, he shook his head and bring the device closer to his mouth, he replied, "H-hello? Robert?"
"YES!! ARTHUR!! ARTHUR THIS DEVICE IS AMAZING!!"
Smile formed on his face, he was happy to hear Robert voice and can't help to crack a laugh, "Haha! Yes! Did you check your status and class selection yet?"
"I have! I got two unique and one rare while the rest are common. But I don't know what it meant though, you know?"
"I see, I got one unique and two rare and I didn't know what it meant either. I was planning to ask the old man about it. Oh! And how's the Academy there?"
"That's a good idea! I'll ask gramps tomorrow. The Academy was huge and I need to run if I want to reach anywhere, it's hell you know! I don't want to lose my fat! Oh, and there are so many magical artifacts in here, like literally everywhere! How about yours?"
Arthur sympathized with Robert, "Same as yours, minus the magical artifact though, this academy is more like a military academy just like uncle Reis lessons. But, I'm having fun here." He said with a smile.
"Yeah! Me too! I'll contact you later, I need to finish my assignments by tonight!!"
"Sure, go do your thing! And contact the other's too!"
