2 Chapter 2 A Terrible Accident

After Charlie had said sorry to Johnson Charlie went back home with his parents. On the way home, Charlie felt sad for what he had done to Johnson, but he also felt happy because Johnson accepted his sorry.

At the house, Charlie went upstairs to his room. He lie down in his bed for a while. After 1 hour and 30 minutes, Charlie went back down stairs after a long time laying down in his bed. It was already 7:30PM. He asked his father, "Father, where is mom?" His father answered, "She just went out now to buy some mushrooms for our mushroom stew for dinner." Charlie's father also said, "By the way, your mother should be back by now because the store is just a three minute walk." It's already been twenty minutes and Charlie's mother didn't return yet. So Charlie's father, Carter, called his wife Harley, Carter asked, "Harley are you fine? Is someone bothering you? It's been 20 minutes now, and you haven't returned yet." But a different woman answered the phone saying, "Is this Harley Collins' husband?" Carter answered, "Yes, why? Is my wife ok?!?" The woman in the phone said that, "This is Dr. Quine, and your wife is in the hospital. She got hit by a motorcycle." Carter dropped his phone with great shock, and immediately took Charlie by the hand and ran straight to the car. Charlie was shocked because he didn't understand why was his father rushing to go somewhere. He felt scared to ask, but he still asked anyways. He asked nervously, "Father, why are you rushing? Is something wrong?" His father answered with great fear, "I'm afraid your mother got hit by a motorcycle, and she is now in the hospital." Charlie's eyes was pouring out tears, but his father did his best to keep him calm.

After driving for fifteen minutes, they finally reached the hospital. Carter went to the front desk asking nervously, "What is the room number of Harley Collin?" The woman in the front desk answered, "Number thirteen, in the 4th floor sir." Carter said, "Thanks a lot miss."

When they found the room number in the 4th floor they saw a doctor standing in front of the room number of Harley Collin, Charlie's mother. The doctor was facing her head down the floor sadly, the doctor's name was Dr. Quine Maine. Carter and Charlie asked the doctor what had happened to Harley, Charlie's mother. Dr. Quine Maine said, "Enter the room and see for yourself." Charlie saw his mother with a broken arm and leg. Charlie starter to cry loudly with his father Carter. They felt very sad. She had died terribly.
