48 A New Reality

It was currently the morning of day 8 of the First Trial. It had been a full week since they had entered these Trials, and Charlotte had never been this happy.

She woke up next to two other women who got along with her very well. Although they all came from different backgrounds, they became fantastic friends and survived through a lot together. This included an attempted drugging and an attempted kidnapping and rape.

Although those first few days were horrible, everything started turning on its head after she met the handsome and enigmatic Midas. She remembered the first time he saw her, lying unconscious on the floor of the Shrine Plaza. Back then she would have never thought that this one man would have such a profound effect on her to this extent.

As far as she was concerned, there was no other man like him.

He was cold and calculating and yet he radiated such raw human emotions.
