Prologue

The world has changed.

What used to be the proud country of America, is now the blood drenched country of zombies. Although I'm fairly sure that America isn't the only country that has been struck with the virus.

It's called the V.O.t1 (virus out brake test 1)- everyone calls it that, its just easier that way.

There's nothing anyone can do but to survive.

As I've ran around, I've created a set of rules.

#1:

Don't be loud - zombies have a high sensitivity to sound and anything moving, whether its you or a rat running past a can. If they can hear you, then you're dead.

#2:

Don't travel in the dark - in the dark you can't see where you're going or what is around you, you could knock into a zombie or they could sneak attack on you. Zombies don't have good vision, but if you think that just because they have really bad vision, you can run around; then you're incorrect. At night, that's when it's their territory, their hunt.

#3:

Don't travel in big groups / don't get attached to anyone - sure being alone isn't advisable, but being in big groups is an issue when moving around, and NEVER get attached to ANYONE you're travelling around with, no matter whether they're family, friends or just someone you've met. It's just easier to let them go that way.

#4:

Don't get into arms reach of the undead - if they bite you, scratch you or somehow get their saliva into your blood stream then you will turn into one of them. Keeping them at least a few feet away from arms length is the best solution to this.

#5:

If someone gets infected, kill them straight away - making them suffer the hour of delayed pain and aggressive outbreaks isn't worth your friendship. It's better to kill them rather than make them suffer.

#6:

This is NOT a game - DON'T try to show off, it ends TERRIBLY. Zombies can smell blood, if they smell your blood then you will be tracked down for miles until they get hold of you or until you die of the virus getting into your blood stream.

#7:

Be prepared - an unprepared traveller is ultimately going to struggle to find food, fresh or drinkable water, medical supplies. Plus, if you do shed blood (#6) then you can easily stop the bleeding through bandages and plasters....that is, if you're fast enough to save yourself first.

MOST IMPORTANTLY

#8:

DONT BE AFRAID, STAY STRONG AND SURVIVE! DON'T TRUST EASILY, TRUSTING THE WRONG PEOPLE CAN GET YOU KILLED. KEEP YOUR GUARD UP AND DON'T BE BLINDED BY YOUR WISH TO KNOW WHETHER YOUR FRIENDS OR FAMILY ARE ALIVE.

Good luck to all of you zombie apocalypse survivors, keep my 8 rules in your mind and survive with me.

May the fates twist and turn to our good will and allow us to survive this mess of a world we now live in!
