Injured Si Xia

Mo Kio was still in a better shape as compared to Si Xia. It was not because he was stronger, but rather because he was more experienced than Si Xia in fights. Though neither of them had sustained any major injury, Si Xia had a cut near his mouth which was bleeding and had twisted his ankle due to which he was limping. He went straight to Yu Chen's apartment and rang the bell.

Yu Chen peeped through the door and saw Si Xia standing there. At first she started panicking, but then, to her horror, she noticed his injuries and quickly pushed the door open.

There he stood, in his school uniform, looking nothing like he usually did. His usual messy hair were dirty, clothes were disheveled and the side of his mouth bleeding.

Yu Chen gasped in horror and pulled him in. She asked him to sit on the bed while she went to get the first-aid box. She noticed that he was limping, and her heart was filled with rage at whoever had beaten him up like that. Yu Chen was so worried over his injuries that the thought about why he was at her place did not even cross her mind. She had been typing a small code to practice on her laptop, which she had left as it is.

When she returned with first-aid, she saw Si Xia looking over her code. She scolded him and asked him to sit on the bed. He did so. Then she began cleaning his wounds and applying medicine on them. She cleaned his hands and face and then put some medicine on the cuts and put a band-aid on the wound which had been bleeding. Then she took out an ointment and started massaging it on his bruises. She even asked him to take off his shoes, which, when he hesitated, she pulled off along with his socks, to see his ankle turning black. She sighed and started massaging it too. Neither of them had said a word up till then.

Then Yu Chen said in a small voice, trying to control her anger which had taken the place of worry, "So what's the big idea. You trying to become a bad boy now."

Si Xia hung her head and did not answer. When she looked up to his face, he looked back into her eyes, his black eyes seemed to be filled with so much love that Yu Chen was a little taken aback. It was then she realised that she was alone with him in the apartment and their proximity as she massaged his leg. Her cheeks turned red when she looked down at herself to see that all she was wearing was an oversized t-shirt the kept slipping off her shoulders, with denim shorts that were barely visible under the t-shirt.

When she was done with his ankle, she got up, adjusting her t-shirt to cover her shoulders, and asked again, "What happened?"

But what Si Xia did almost made her heart stop, he pulled her hand so that she was sitting on the bed beside him, and he hugged her.
