Lu Chen grabs Zhang Ying's arm and places it on his back. And the next second,

Lu Chen places more pressure on the arm, snapping it.

"Arrggghhhh!" Zhang Ying screams in agony.

Everybody looks with wide eyes at what happened. The only people who aren't surprised by the scene are Elder Wu and Zhang Jian. The two had seen how Lu Chen acted before.

And that was people that were targeting him. And these fools were targeting Zhang Wenling. Zhang Jian and Elder Wu know Lu Chen was a ticking time bomb.

And that bomb exploded.

"Do you think you can pick up girls after the shit you pulled?" Lu Chen's were cold and furious. From accusing his mother to causing trouble for Zhang Jian.

He couldn't take it.

Lu Chen turns his gaze over to the rest of the group. The entire group shivers as they are the next target.

"Zhang Jian is under my protection. Don't think about pulling anything against him." Lu Chen then holds onto the lining of a metal shelf. And then,

Crunch. He grabs onto the metal, warping the shape of it. The only thing left was an indent of Lu Chen gripping the thing.

"This is what's going to happen to you if you even come near my family again. This is the only and final warning you'll get from me."

"..." Hearing that, Zuo Qiaolin's group just stayed silent. In their eyes, it looks like a tiger is ready to bare his fangs at them.

"Aren't you guys security? Bring them away and have them scram!" Hearing that, the security guards escorted Zuo Qiaolin out of the building. They couldn't do a thing about it.

This might be the least of their trouble.

As they leave, Lu Chen turns over to Song Yanmei,

"You alright?"

"..." No response came from Song Yanmei.

"?" Lu Chen waves his hands in front of her. It took a while, but Song Yanmei snaps out of the trance,

"I'm alright!" Song Yanmei's voice became high-pitched. Nothing like her calm and cold voice from before.

Lu Chen steps back from the sudden shouting. Seeing this, Song Yanmei blushes,

"It's ok." Lu Chen sighs. He turns over to Zhang Wenling and says,

"Lao Ma, I'm sorry." He doesn't want to show this die of him to the people close to him.

But Zhang Wenling pats him on the head, "It's alright. I'm more proud of you than mad." If she thought what Lu Chen did was surprising, then yes.

But, she was proud of what he did.

Fight for his friends? How could a parent not be proud of what he did?

"Now that the fools are away, now let's go back to shopping!"

"You still want to buy clothes?!" Lu Chen couldn't help but retort. He just broke a guy's arm, and she still has the mindset of shopping.

"Of course! Why do we need a bunch of bad apples to ruin our day? It just made me want to buy even more now. Yanmei, come with us too."

"Huh?" Song Yamei becomes surprised, "Aunty, I don't want to bother you."

"It's fine! And what do you mean bothering? You're my savior! Let's go now!" Zhang Wenling didn't listen to Song Yanmei's insistence and brought her to buy things.

"Today is such a good day!" After finishing buying the clothes, the four arrive back home. Zhang Wenling has a bright smile as she lays on the sofa.

"We brought way too much." Lu Chen jokes. There were too many bags to count.

"It's fine. We got those free items from the shop. All of them is worth it." After the incident, the workers decided to give Zhang Wenling the suits and other items free of charge.

"Xiao Chen?"

"Hmm?"

"What do you think about Song Yanmei?"

"....Huh?" Lu Chen's face turns twisted. "What are you talking about?"

"Do you think Song Yanmei is beautiful?"

"She's beautiful." From an appearance perspective, Song Yanmei was a great beauty.

"But what about it?" Song Yanmei being beautiful is the only thing Lu Chen thought of.

"..." Zhang Wenling sighs, "How can my son be this dense."
