Chapter 26 - Another Problem

When Kaori and Stiyl woke up from their stupor, the two of them were already in a room they didn't recognize at all. The last thing they remembered was the fight against Touma that ended in defeat to both of them. After that they both couldn't remember at all what happened because they fainted.

"Ooi Kanzaki! Where are we!" Stiyl shouted looking very annoyed. "Why are we in a small room that's like a prison!"

"You're noisy Stiyl, we are indeed in prison," Kaori said who covered her ears because Stiyl was screaming in the narrow prison room they were in. "And it seems Kamijou Touma was the one who put the two of us in this place."

"Tcch this is really embarrassing," Stiyl said feeling a little uncomfortable because he wasn't smoking at the moment. "We were both defeated by just one person."

"Yes, but don't forget that the one person who defeated us, was not an ordinary human but the grandson of Hiko Seijuro who is said to be the strongest human in the world," Kaori said with a long sigh. "But look on the positive side, even though we both lost. I believe that Kamijou Touma brought the two of us into the Yuragi Sou. What we need to do now is get out of this prison and take Index away."

"It's easy to talk," Stiyl said, whose face was turning pale because he wasn't smoking at the moment. "I couldn't feel any magic energy in my body at all since earlier, as if I never had magic energy in my body."

Stiyl's words made Kaori realize that she was also experiencing the same thing as Stiyl. Even worse, because when she could feel that her extraordinary physical strength as a Saint was also being suppressed by something. So right now her physical strength was only on par with a normal humans. And for Kaori what she was experiencing right now was something very worrying. And finally they both remember the important thing about Yuragi Sou that Yukina told them, namely that Yuragi Sou was founded on a power spot that has the power to suppress supernatural phenomena.

"This cursed place can actually suppress magic power," Stiyl said. "Really annoying!"

The moment Index woke up from the stupor she had experienced due to excessive satiety a few hours earlier. Index can still feel that right now she is still struggling when she breathes and also her body feels so heavy that she can't sit up and can only lie down on the futon in the guest room. Index could see that her stomach was swelling up like pregnant women, and that obviously made Index panic.

"Uukh my stomach swells up and feels really heavy and I can't breathe properly either," Index said with a sigh that sounded heavy. "I really want to know how I can be in this room again and most importantly why my stomach can swell like this!"

While Index was still confused about what happened to her right now. Chitose and Touma entered the guest room where Index was lying and their arrival took Index by surprise.

"Eh, did you two bring me to this room again?" Index asked.

"That's right, little nun," Chitose said who didn't really like Index. "When you wake up after a long day of sleeping in this room, you end up eating a large quantity of precious nuts that cost trillions of yen and passing out because you're full. If we wanted we could have kicked you out right now! Cause of your mistake eating something that very precious. But because of the nuts you ate, it would be a loss if we try to throw you out. That's why you'll stay at Yuragi Sou until you can pay off your trillion-yen debt!"

"M-my name is not a little nun! But Index Librorum Prohibitum!" Index said who was afraid of Chitose because Chitose looked like a monster in front of her. "A- and I'm sorry for eating those nuts but could you please explain to me why right now I feel so full and my stomach looks like pregnant mothers?"

"Those expensive nuts worth trillions of yen that you eat have the effect of healing wounds and making one feel full," Touma explained to Index. "One nut can keep a person from eating for ten days, and you eat a lot of those nuts. That's why you are full now and your stomach is swollen. It's a miracle you didn't come because your stomach exploded."

The Index that could be called a living esklopedia of supernatural and strange things never knew there was a nut with such an extraordinary effect. And frankly she was curious about the beans..

"Shizuka-Nee-san, do you know where Onii-chan is?" Asked Kotori who had just returned from the Judgment office. "I need his help to deal with the problem created by a group of level one and two Chuunibyou at Hoshinoumi Academy who arbitrarily made some level 3 students from Tokiwadai to transfer to Hoshinoumi Academy! My boss said that I had to finish this case within a week. Or else the budget provided for the judgment office that I lead will be reduced!"

"Touma-san and Chitose-san are currently talking to the greedy nun," Replied Shizuka who was currently preparing dinner together with Maika. "So maybe he'll be able to talk to you only after his conversation with the nun is over."

"Tsk when I needed Onii-chan's help, he took care of another case," Kotori was annoyed that Touma was busy taking care of other things. But Kotori had no choice but to wait, Touma finished handling Index's matter. Because she knew that Touma would not want to help her before he could finish the other things he was working on. "I hope Onii-chan can quickly solve the nun's problem, so he can help me quickly!"

"Is that how bad the case you're currently working on Kotori-chan is?" Asked Shizuka. "Until you need Touma-san's help."

"Pretty bad," Kotori replied."Nao Tomori the student council president of Hoshinoumi Academy as well as a level 1 Esper who has the power called 'pointless' the power to make himself invisible to only one person thinks that her Esper power does not come from Academy City but is caused by a dust from the comet named Charlotte which appears once every seventy-five years. And she purposely threatened some students from other schools into transferring to Hoshinoumi Academy so 'she' could keep an eye on those students so that those students could use the powers for a greater good under her tutelage."

"You deserve to mention that girl and her gang Chuunibyou," Shizuka said with sweat dripping down her cheeks with a smile. "That girl sounds like a mentally ill person experiencing delusions from being too influenced by the story in the anime."
