9 Crafting at its finest

(A/N Notes: What the cause of death? Heart attack from the impossible pull. Let me check the cause of death *Proceeds to see the cause of death and sees a ten pull with every 5-star characters in Genshin Impact* *Proceeds to have a heart attack*)

"Kukukukukukuahahahahahahahahahahaha!!! Finally!!! I finally crafted a magical steel ore!!! Ahahahahahahahahahaha!!!"

In front of Red, there was a single ingot of Fiery steel ingot, and behind him, there was a bunch of scrap metals, roughly around 2/3rds of his entire ore stack worth it... Yeah, he failed a lot and wasted a bunch of ores, but now he knew how to make magical steel

"Now time to make a freezing steel ingot!!! Muahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!"

This time he didn't have as much trouble as before, but he still wasted a few ores until he got it right. And when he finally managed to forge all of his ores into various ingots, it was already time for him to log out, which he did so

*Removes the VR headgear* "Maa... That was certainly more difficult than I expected, having to control the right amount of magic as I melt the ores was definitely a pain in the ass... ... ... Now that I think about it... I forgot to pick the new skills, meh, I'll pick them tomorrow"

And he went to sleep since he spent the day only smelting ores

The next day, afternoon

"Hmm... Let's see what I can get... Yoyo, got it... Talismans? Hmmm. Wait I can enchant magic that I know on the talismans? Why not baby!... Backpacker, surely... And thief? I guess..."

And with his new skills set, he went to his original objective of making new equipment

"First let's go with the ax and the hatchet, then move to the prototype transformable bow, then maybe some iron boot soles to help with a kick, then search for types of "light" polearms, and make a lot of arrows, then maybe give a look at what I'll need to have for my new skills, mainly yoyo and talisman"

He said that to himself, as he prepared the materials needed for his new ax in the workshop he was renting

"First of all, design... Let's go with the bearded ax design to save some ingot, and because it's a better design for when the enemy is way too close. Now for the second part, which metal do I use... I have a bunch of normal steel, enough fiery steel for one weapon, and some other metals, but they're all worse than steel when it comes to making weapons, Hooray! Steel!... Normal steel is it, and let's make it in a Damascus style to show off"

Then Red Null proceeded to make a one-handed bearded ax, and he spent most of the crafting time, making cool patterns on the sides of the blade, and when he finished

[Damascus Bearded Steel Axe: A crafted One-handed ax, its made of highly durable steel with gorgeous patterns on the blade, a true work of art and dedication

+80 damage/Quality: 9]

"That's a lot of damage! Now time for the hatchet!"

Then he prepared his freezing steel ingots

*Cracks knuckles* "Let's make a Tomahawk"

And with determination, he went to make a tactical throwing tomahawk, when he finished crafting it

[Tactical Tomahawk of Freeze: A hatchet made for throwing, but that can be used for close combat. It contains a pick at the other end of the metal part

Special ability: Freezing Steel (When this weapon is thrown at an opponent, the target is frozen upon immediate contact. Once this weapon is pulled out from the target, it will immediately lose the frozen status)

+45 damage/Quality: 10]

"Wow! I didn't think I would get quality 10 this early... Hmmm... My enchanter crafting class can give enchantments, blessings, and curses to pieces of equipment... Maybe there's one of them that will allow me to recall my Tomahawk like how Thor recalls his hammer"

So he went to search the forums and wiki to see if he could find anything, and he found one thing that reached the closest to it

"Curse of retrieval, the owner of an item with this curse, will be unable to get rid of the item unless the curse is removed first... Well... It's the closest thing to what I want"

He then prepared the table for the enchantment process and applied the curse of retrieval to his tomahawk

"Now time to test it"

Red went outside and prepared a dummy target, aimed his Tomahawk, and threw it at the target, it hit and got stuck on the target, as the target froze immediately after being hit by the Tomahawk. Red let the ax in place for some time, then he extended the hand he used to throw the hatchet as if he was pulling it with the force, and the tomahawk shook, and began flying towards him, in which he picked it the handle and made a cool pose, the target that was frozen, lost its status effect at the same time the Tomahawk stopped touching it

"Yes... This is perfect"

And he went inside the workshop again, and he noticed it was almost for his first log out

"Welp, time to log out"

Brief timeskip

"And I'm back in"

"Now it's time for the bow, hmmm... the modern compound bows, uses a pulley system, maybe I can do something similar to that, and it'll certainly help with the string problem... But the real elephant will be how to make a workable transformable mechanism, that toy didn't have the problem because all it did was pull or push the ends of the bow, but that won't work here... God, I'm glad to have a Ph.D. in engineering"

Red began designing various types of transforming mechanism, and after he settled on three, it was already time for him to log out, which he did so. The next day, he had to go to a meeting of a friend, regarding the business he was a business partner with, so he didn't have much time to work on the mechanism, but he managed to build one and test it, it was a failure

The following day, he had all day off, so he worked on the two remaining mechanisms, and the results were that one was better for the hunting and long formats, while the other was better at the hunting and short formats, so he went back to work on a combined design to get his desired results, after four days of designing, crafting and trial and error, he finally managed to come up with a functional, robust and workable design, then the second part was the pulley system, that was slightly less troublesome but that still took him two days to get it right

"Time for crafting, baby"

And he approached the workbench to start making his chimera of a bow, and the end results were...

[Transformable compound bow: A true art of war bow, made of a complex, yet robust mechanism that allows it to take up to three formats, together with a pulley system allowing for more powerful shots with less strength needed to draw the bowstring

+150 damage(Longbow form) (Longer range, slower attack speed, necessary bigger drawing and stronger for full power)

+85 damage (hunting bow form) (balanced range, attack speed, and draw)

+65 damage(short bow format) (shorter range, faster attack speed, shorter and weaker drawing for full power)

Quality: 10]

"... ... ... This thing is a beast... And I love it!!!"

He was a shameless person, who loved to see big numbers on his items

That's all for today everyone)
