Maddison nodded weakly, a sense of powerlessness overwhelming him.

"Good girl. So from now on, you will obey me, and in return, I will make sure to keep you well-fed and safe. Really, you should start thanking me already."

A foreboding sense of doom set itself inside Maddison's heart when he saw the set of fur drapery obstructing the view to their cell. Finally, he also noticed how his bed has been dragged towards his roommate's one and then put side by side.

For some reason, the way Josef used his name just completely broke his dignity. Only his Mom called him by that nickname, saying it was cute (even though feminine)... but now, he was called like that by his abuser. And it was clearly meant in a demeaning way - just like saying 'Good girl' was.

So Maddie, now dignity degraded, terror-stricken, and completely at the mercy of 'her' assaulter, could only kneel beside the bed at the floor, obediently following Josef's orders.

At that though, Maddison's mind blanketed.
