5 Chapter 4 - The First Princess appears

Seriously? Can't I just live peacefully for once?

"Wait, you said the first piece of map would come and find me. What do you mean by that?"

No sooner had I made that statement, an intruder stumbled in.

Crash.

What the--

I slowly regained consciousness and the first thing I felt, was a soft and warm sensation on my chest.

Something was pressing on my body from above.

I managed to open my eyes with some effort and laying in an awkward position on top of me, was a young woman with golden blonde hair.

Coincidentally, my hand was also placed on something else.

Squeeze.

"Nnn."

I know this set up!

I went through countless of these scenarios in my previous lives.

This is the traditional lucky copping a feel you get when you are a protagonist.

LUCKY SUKEBE.

Squeeze.

"Nnn." The girl released a soft moan as she slowly awoke to the scene.

Her face instantly flushed red and she immediately got up.

"Sorry Sorry Sorry. I didn't plan to land on top of you."

I also propped myself up on my hand.

"No, no. I am fine. More important, are you hurt anywhere, Miss?"

The girl shook her head and her expression suddenly brightened as she knelt down and gripped both of my hands.

"Finally, finally, I get to meet you!"

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh???

The girl turned her head as she faced the old woman.

"Great Grandma!"

She rushed over and hugged the old woman.

"There, there. You have grown up, haven't you, Levana?"

The old woman started stroking her head.

Levana?

Don't tell me...

The old woman looked at me as a single phrase escaped from her mouth

"This was what I meant."

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh???

"Nice to meet you. My name is Princess Levana. I am the Princess of Weldyn. You can just call me Levana."

Levana bowed her head towards me, exactly like a dignified Princess.

I hurriedly bowed back.

"My name is Lex."

Shit. Did I just grope a Princess?

"I saw your battle with the green serpent a few days ago and I have been trying to locate you ever since then."

Green serpent?

I recalled back to that incident a while ago.

Certainly, I thought I had felt a presence back then.

It appears it was the Princess.

Levana started to act like the heroine of a soap opera as she started making random gestures with her hand.

"When I first saw you, I knew you were the one. The way you killed that green serpent. Your valor. That act of bravery. Lex, you are an Adventurer, aren't you?"

Levana's eyes were shining.

I nodded my head.

"Ahem, and, from what I heard outside, it seems Great Grandma has given you a mission."

I let out a satirical smile inside.

This girl--

Did she just admit she was eavesdropping?

"You are looking for the map left behind by Prince Haldric right? The map that leads to the Scepter of Fire."

"That is correct, my dear. The piece of map that your mother left you. It's still with you, right?"

The old woman asked.

Levana started to pound her chest with her right fist.

"Of course! How can I lose something so important."

Levana proceeded to take out a necklace that was hidden beneath her clothes.

Hanging on the necklace, was a golden pendant.

She opened it and inside, revealed a small piece of paper.

"Are you willing to give me that piece of the map?"

This was the hard part. I needed her to hand me that piece of the map if I were to complete this mission.

"Of course." Levana threw the small piece of paper over to me.

Eh? That was easy.

However--

"On one condition--"

Levana leaned forward until her chest was just inches away from mine.

"You have to take me along."
