1 A beginning of an adventure, and an end of a life

The multiverse theory. It states that there are infinite different universes. The truth is a bit different. There is the time line zero. The time line we live in. Then there are all the stories. Every time someone makes a new story, it creates a new branch to the time line tree. Fanfictions of already existing stories, make smaller branches.

However, this is not a book about the theories about the multiverse. This is a story about a boy, Bali Prime. Aged seventeen, he's going to school on weekdays, but on weekends he's trapped home. Luckily for Prime, it's Monday. Unluckily for him though it's an 8AM day which means 6AM alarm.

Time line Zero:

"Beep beep beep beep" The alarm blares right next to my bloody ears as I struggle to make sense of the world around me. I groggily get up, make some coffee for my abusive shithead of a father and some hot chocolate for myself. I took a painkiller and a caffeine pill to wake myself up and to get rid of the pain all over my body. I walked down the hallway, passing a mirror on the way. I looked into the mirror to make sure I was presentable. Looking back was my reflection: A boy with pale skin, and black hair. My brown eyes were devoid of any emotion. I looked at my attire as well. The usual black t-shirt, black jeans and a gray hoodie. Apart from the eyes everything looked normal, but nobody would notice the eyes if I did what I usually do. Sit at the back of the class, take notes and only hang out with my friend. Jack Forestcliff. His personality is almost a complete 180 to mine. He's social, likes to smile and doesn't really do well in class other than gym.

I walk down to the bus stop, and get my bus card ready. After five minutes of waiting the bus came. I board and settle down for the 40 minute trip. I glance at the clock and sigh in disappointment. Only 6:05 meaning I'll have a 75 minute waiting window. Maybe I can get some breakfast with that 10€ I own. If I get lucky the "cool kids" won't be there. I close my eyes and let a tear fall. 7 years. That's how long I've been enduring this hell for. Ever since mom left for some man with lots of money. The reason isn't important. Ever since she left dad has been treating me like trash. Put a school with a bullying problem on top and you've got yourself a ticking time-bomb. As the bus is slowly heading towards the city, more people slowly fill up the bus. I am so deep in thought that I don't even notice one of my bullies getting in until I get hit on the head with that heavy ass physics text book. "Hey loser!" I turn around to look at the person who hit me with the book. It was Nicole Poisonbog. She has dirt-blonde hair and is wearing a neon-blue coat with similarly colored shorts. "What do you want Nicole?" I asked her while trying my best to not let any emotion out.

"Oh don't be such a spoilsport Bali. I only want you to help me with my physics homework." She said while smiling evilly. I rolled my eyes, but then got my own idea. "That would be 10€" Because if I'm gonna be forced to do someone else's homework, I might as well make profit. This was a risky move because if she was in a bad mood she'd punch me. Luckily she seemed to be in a good mood as she just chuckled and handed me the 10€ banknote and her physics book and notebook. I checked her homework, and seeing that it was an easy one, I did it while helping her understand it. After 10 minutes of explaining aerodynamics she got the gist of it. I smiled tiredly and slumped back in my seat. Nicole smiled as well but her smile quickly turned into a horrified expression. "What's wrong?" I asked her because she looked like she was about to cry. "Don't "what's wrong" me! What happened to you!? You look like you haven't slept in days!" She practically yelled at this point. "That's because I haven't." I sighed, but still keeping a poker face. "What do you mean you haven't? Why?" Nicole asked genuine worry plastered all over her face.

"I… Haven't slept properly ever since my father started to torture me." I said, externally still emotionless while internally confused. Why would Nicole suddenly be worried? She was a bully for god's sake. I drew a breath and watched as the school's bus stop rolled into view. I got off the bus, and walked to the nearby café to get breakfast.

At the end of the day, I was walking towards the bus stop, with Jack next to me and we were talking about anything that came to mind. Jack was the only person other than Nicole who knew of the situation with my father. He often invited me to his family's place for me to stay over the night, and give me some food. "So, any changes in the way your dad treats you?" Jack asked as he stepped over a puddle. "Unfortunately no. Still the same old and I'm starting to feel all the stress from school." I answered and checked my bag for my wallet. "I'm telling you, you need to contact CPS or something. You can't live on like this." Jack exclaimed and I smiled wryly. "I tried that once. He managed to make it look like nothing was wrong then tortured me for hours. I think I almost died that day." I replied while keeping my eyes on the road. It started to rain again, and me having no water-proof clothing got all wet and cold. "Can things get any worse!?" I yelled in frustration, and as if just to show me that yes things can get worse, a truck coming at high speed slipped, and hit me going at 80 km/h. All I actually saw was the road, a truck's rear closing in and then a white flash. Then black. All I saw was black.
